You GO Mike! Tell 'em about this crazy New Age world. It's completely off the wall. And it's not even really "new" at all. I don't think most New Agers realize this, but just about everything they espouse or believe in is very old, dating back in some cases several centuries prior to the birth of Christ. I don't see how they can call this stuff "new" and how they can choose to believe in it so many years after it has been discarded by their originators.
These videos proclaim Truth in a fearless way! If you want in-your-face reality, you've come to the right place and it will set you free. Thank you St. Micheal's Media!
These new age concepts also apply to fortune cookies and horoscopes. Until a Missionary of Charity sister properly instructed me, me and my family would occasionally look at horoscopes and fortune cookies. Now, we have abandoned all of this.
Yes, you are right. Unfortunately, many people are not taught this, thus, many ignorantly believe in them. Its really not their fault if our "Catholic" schools choose the world over the faith.
starchyp92 - You can use horoscope for entertainment purpose. It is not a good idea to take that too seriously. People can accomplish a lot of things if they really want, regardless horoscope says.
However, horoscope sometimes does a good of of describing peoples' personalities. We can see if that gives us some insights about ourselves. We can then use that knowledge to be a better person and try to overcome our weaknesses.

That is an example of using a horoscope and taking it seriously. That is New Age and is forbidden by the Church. Horoscopes can indeed be accurate - because they have demonic influence behind them. NEVER use them for ANYTHING serious!
How about the personality tests like Meyers Briggs Type Indicator? That test tells us about our personality and our strengths and weaknesses. Lots of people take that test to see what career is good for them and how they can improve themselves by overcoming weaknesses.

That is obviously different because it is not in any way supernatural or connected with New Age thought. It is simply studying people's views and responses, not predicting the future based on planetary alignment etc.
@mysteriumaenigma If you honestly follow the horoscope, then you're not too smart. Not even for entertainment purposes. Wanna be entertained? read history or something important like that (that will for sure make Protestants think twice about being Protestants)
A LOT of the New Age practices are realistic; because they are demonic magic. ESP, crystal healing, clairvoyance etc. etc. - all demonic magical powers.

When we look at this stuff with common sense and a well rounded knowledge of our Catholic Faith, of course all of that stuff is a joke.

This is very true. There is nothing wrong with glancing at such silliness, but to use them as a guide to your life is wrong.
Catholics should avoid all tarot cards, palm readings, ouija boards etc. etc.

Just as a matter of interest; does anyone know anyone silly enough to believe Fortune Cookies and those "Weekly World News" horoscopes?
I mean; who is stupid enough to think there are only twelve types of people in the world?

While some New Age concepts might be realisttic such as ESP, the majority of them are rediculous nonsense such as Indigo and Crystal children.
