  • I just started skydiving a few months ago.

I'm amazed that baton passing is legal as should somebody fumble and drop it, it could kill somebody below. Is there a particular way in which the risks are managed or is it a case of 'tough luck'.

  • @The85pHotpot We don't do "Tough Luck". When we take something into freefall with us that could hurt someone if dropped, we take a line of flight over a huge empty field so that if we do lose the baton, it won't hurt anyone. We had our own pass for this jump also.

  • damn man i must have asked a million times can someone please just get a picture or some film footage of my dads(lyles) chute please i havn't seen it yet.

  • We did. It's on the latest video. The one after this one.

  • A metal baton? I'd hurt myself with that thing on the ground. Why did Velardo cinch the little lower chute up after it slid down?

  • Beautiful day, interesting challenge, and great fun pulling it off. I loved the rehearsal, and, "Somebody's gonna bleed." LOL

  • Too freaking far out!

  • Great Video Man!!

    Five Stars!!
