this is a cool vid. It's very educational. People with mental illnesses are often misunderstood and defined by their illnesses by "normal" people. Telling your story is helpful in breaking down those prejudices. It definitely gave me an understanding of what your life is like from your perspective and why people in your position must act and behave in certain ways in order to cope with their illnesses. psych drugs DO HAVE CAPACITY TO HEAL!!! Not ALL are harmful, don't believe all the hype. Success stories do exist. Lifespans certainly do shorten WITHOUT THEM. !!!

@medspatic777 Some have those side affects but none Only make you want to kill yourself, that absurd. Sometimes if one has been taking a certain med for awhile then goes off of it suddenly it can have the opposite effect.

SOME drugs promote suicides and agitation, for instance SOME SSRIs like fluoxetine (prozac).

The doctor/psychiatrist has the weigh up the pros/cons.
