People who are against this are kinda stupid. They need these suits so they don't poo all over your house, and especially on carpet. And you can take them out a little, like maybe to the park and let 'em run around. They poo in the liners that are supposed to be changed reguarly. He may not like it YET, but it's just like an ankle bracelet, like the ID tags you get with them when they are bought. They may picka at it a little, but after a while they barely notice it! This is a genius invention.
How did you get him to be comfortable with wearing the flight suit...I have a cockatiel too and I really need to get him wearing it cause I can't stand the poop all over the house and on our clothes. But I don't want him stuck in his room either.
Judging by the pale color of the cheek patches, and the soft chirping, I'm going to guess Charlie here is a female. XD But all the same, I think he/she is trying to take it off. :( Clearly doesn't like the flight suit.
@BlueWolche No, I Used To Have Two Cockatiels A While Back, It's Just Pruning, They Do It A LOT, The Only Bad Part Was That The Male Was Mentally Retarded And Couldn't Fly Straight, Or At Least Land, He Landed By Flying Headfirst Into Walls, They Broke Out Of Their Cage And Flew Out The House Door When My Mother Opened It While I Was At School One Day, I Cried For Hours When I Found Out.
@veetube1414 myn knows he can go around the house more with it on so he runs to it when hes out so i can go around the house at the petstore i work at there easy to use and in no way harm the bird
she will just hold strong and he paitient with her...it takes time. I don't even know how old my baby is and Honey is the sweetest girl to me now.
(i don't know her age b/c i got her at a shelter. they had so many tiels there they couldn't keep tracj not with all the other animals...it was just impractical for them to)
I take my bird outside when she's clipped, and she can't fly at all-even with wind- and there's no predators around to trap her anyhoo. We're getting a harness or flight suit for her soon though, cause her primaries grew back last molt- how exciting, she can fly!!!
When you put one on one of you pet birds, you hold a leash and you can bring them outside to fly around or go for a walk with you, you have to have a lot of trust between you and your bird though to get him to put one on.
It is good to see that people are using the flight suits! I just hate it when people take their domesticated bird outside. Even with clipped wings, they could catch wind and fly.. or worse, a wild bird could trap them...
He is so cute in it .LOL why do you have the EXIT on your window for charlie to know where to get out.Can he read lol Just kidding .I know with some flight suits they can go out doors.that's why i said that.
