  • a film by zardoz? hey thats my favorite movie!

  • @doctorw2 It's one of my favourites too ;-)

  • Outstanding job! The video and song interweave so well it becomes a living portrait like a storybook. Beautiful :)

  • Wonderful work. Thank you.

  • this is just beautiful . well done.

  • Astounding combination!

  • This is real art. I am trying to introduce DBs music to my children but still a little bit in vane. Not many of today's young people have the patience to listen to a song as beautiful and epic as this one !

  • Thank you, that is a thing of great beauty.

  • happy birthday (64) Mr. Bowie :D

  • awesome song.

  • Never fails to make me feel good. You've made a really silly man feel very old !! (In a good way of course). Thank you. Luv on ya !!!

  • Thank you so much for sharing this...

  • this is perty cool. anybody else think the wild eyed part is meant to be about himself?

  • Awesome art work

  • Excellent song,Excellent animation

  • Wonderful!

  • This is very well done, I really enjoyed this! I've always loved this song too.

  • solemn ficed the village settled down undetected by the stars.

  • This is amazing, it's it. This is it!!! 100% well interpruted. Bowie is a demi-god

  • well done

  • Wonderful ! Epic ! and very magical !!

  • Exquisite animation for an exquisite song. You do honour to the Lord Bowie; like him, you are a genius, a muse.

  • The Lord Bowie's lyrics shall surely enter into future Anthologies of English Literature. No other rock star/living god ever accomplished so much in the way of profound poetry. He still moves me as much as he did when I was a youth.

  • @KnyazSerafimYusupov I love Bowie but you have to remember a lot of his lyics were random words cut out put into a cup mixed round then pulled out and made into songs, Brilliant, but random

  • Its funny, ever since i first heard this song in the early 70's I always pictured Freecloud like something out of Noggin the Nog. Brilliant work !!

  • wonderful video,it fits the song so well,*****

  • excellent - how fitting - and bravo for the editing

  • really you and really me.................oh, it just sends me back to being 16 again..........and so in love - with Bowie xx

  • this is my favourite bowie's song

  • i loved that kind of animation cartoon!! usualy they were very well made, and inspired by originals poetic fairy counts...cheers

  • Thank you for taking the time to comment.

  • @toalfrgb

No, thank you for doing such an amazing piece of work.

  • das ist wahres Fantasy, musik aus der Zukunft von der Vergangenheit...wie im Film!

  • R.I.P.

Oliver Postgate has died aged 83,

    Creator of Noggin the Nog

I thought ,this video would be a great tribute.

You gave great joy to millions of kids

  • great video,thank you....Bowie the best...

  • "it's so hard for us to really be, really you and really me."- such lovely words. one of Bowie's finest moments.

  • My favourite Bowie song ever.

  • I love this song and this video made it a completely new experience, thank you.. inegenious!

  • this is so weird-always loved the somg but this noggin the nog video just seems right-well done-seems they should always have been married together

  • The combination of the song and the Noggin images were in my head for many years before I got around to assembling the movie.

    Thanx for the kind comments

  • Awsome!!!!

    Great work with the video!!!

...and the song is one of the REALLY great ones... :)

  • Genius use of film with music. Inspired. Thanks.

  • epic. my fav Bowie song ever. just beautiful.

  • beautiful !!

  • Beautiful. It was always one of my favs. I remember being completely blown away by this when I was about 14 and had just discovered the older Bowie records.

  • well done ,fantastic ,when i first heard this song in my acid draggled state i actually pictured these scenes .

  • The mountain is pissed off. Watch your step or it will fall on you

  • Great clip for this song one of my favourites

The 'acoustic' version (recorded before this) was on the B side of the 'Space Oddity' single

  • Luv the cryptic lyrics and mystic quality of his early works,,,bave been along for the ride for 30 yrs now, eagerly awaiting each new turn in direction. I've never heard the acoustic version...any chance of posting it? thanxs.

  • it's about a mountain that sacrifices itself so that a boy that lived there can be saved from execution

  • wtg like it ,is'nt the cartoon noggin the nog and the norshmen ,,,i used a mighty mouse cartoon on one of my tunes ( this planet earth ) check it out and the other viseos if you wish :)

  • What is this song about, exactly? All I could gather was that its about a Wild Eyed Boy from a weird mountain that is about to be hanged, and the mountain tries to stop his execution by throwing rocks at the village.

  • My mistake - the acoustic version is different altogether, much better vocal peformance.

  • Surprised to find this song here, one of my favourites, and great video. Although I must say that I MUCH prefer the version without all the horns and accompaniment...I've got both. The one is exactly the same, just acoustic and voice though. Merci.

  • Very fantastic work.

Hope Mr. Bowie will love it as much as I do.
