  • como es posible que esta banda siga haciendo estos temas taaaan tremendos????? es increibleeeee!!!!

  • is it just me or are they all playing lefty's in this clip?

  • @94BartonJ the poster probably inverted the video to avoid copywright issues

  • what a lovely track.

  • such a beautiful epic song! fuck yeah!!

  • greatnesss

  • The little guitar bit Thom starts at 3:48 sounds much better here than the album version. more organic guitar tone

  • Colin Greenwood is my inspiration as a bassist, and these sessions are why.

  • Did anyone else get a little wet when Thom said "We need to do separator,"?

  • I feel like flying everytime I listen to this song ,out of this world into a pure delight emotion .

  • Listening to this fantastic album is like being in a sublime dream. When its over I fall back to sleep and dream all over again and again and again. The dream only gets better. The King of Limbs is a masterpiece.

  • Epic like:dislike ratio.

  • can any one please tell me what jeffkoenig79 said?

  • i don't know but this could be their best album, year. been listening to it for almost a year and never got tired yet, really gonna miss not to see them tour live in my town.

  • these sessions should've been in the album.

  • zajebiste.....

  • Wake me up, wake me uuuuuup~

  • What do I need to pay $300 a ticket? I'll pay, please come to Australia

  • if thom yorke accepted the fact people WILL pay the cost of a concert ticket to compencate their flawed philosophy of carbon footprint, then radiohead WOULD be the king of ALL limbs, not just an excuse. Love this band, only beaten by Stereolab. Kills me to hear they wont come to Australia, lest the fact I cant even buy a King of Limbs poster. FUCK!!

  • @Aywol You know I could purchase said item for you and mail it to said address... I cannot help you out on the concert though. I saw them for the first time in 2008. I have been a fan since 1996. The concert was 24 hours after my first child (son) had heart surgery. The timing could not have been more perfect. What an emotionally cleansing show. My son turned 4 yesterday and is at the top of his class in everything except for height/weight! Haha. Good things come to those who wait...

  • @jeffkoenig79 if you have a king of limbs poster, or can get one. Ill buy one, I have looked up too many sites and seen nothing but posters I either have or dont want. gimmie a yell on how much, you can send it COD, Ill cover it and throw in a few dollars for your efforts. Some people say Kid A was best album, But...for me, King of limbs killed it. Ps. Glad your kids ok :)

  • @Aywol well, the newspaper album has some beautiful artwork with it. Theres enough art work to take up an entire half of a wall. 8 really big newspaper sheets. i'd say thats better than any other poster u could get for TKOL

  • how good must second drummer Clive have felt when he got the call to play on this?

  • @WalterSobchak1000 I bet he jumped out of his seat. Sure as shit, I would have hit the ceiling------After several moments without human voice and lots of moaning, squeals and crashes, "Clive?!? Clive, are you there? Are you ok?" After a few moments Clive responds, "Uh, yeah, I'm here. Sorry, this damn rhino escaped from the local zoo and just busted into my room. What dates do you need me again? I am sure I could work that into my schedule..."

  • Why the video is left to right inversed?

  • @gogen76 It's to bypass the YouTube copyright thing that they have. It can identify video that has been licensed and, therefore, illegal to upload. Mirroring the video prevents this from happening (at least for a little longer).

  • It's like falling out of bed...

  • people who don't like this album is a twat. 'nuff said.

  • I love the way Colin jumps up out of his seat as if he's bored with the whole thing when someone asks if they should get on and he says yes like he really just wants to get home - all the while making and playing some of the most amazing music I've ever heard - and surely has ever been played by any rock and roll band !!

  • so weird to see them do human things....

  • One Word- Unbelievable...Radiohead is definitely the best band on this fucking globus!!!

  • this is cerebral, not pop junk.

  • AHHH show me thier hands dammit

  • I can't believe this album doesn't get the love it deserves. I mean, sure there're always gonna be haters out there, but this one has so many... it's unbearable. I still can't process the fact of someone disliking this

  • @etejuanete3 A lot of people don't like it, but I don't think many hate it. For me, I love the 2nd half of the album. The 1st is just ok. I still listen to it all the way through though.

  • @ZwienerZ yeah, the 2d half is great, but I also love Bloom and little by little. Magpie's live version is awesome too

  • ...... What can you say, another best of the British performance.

  • Haha, I love how Jonny grabs a cheeky nibble on the way past the table.

  • Video is flipped R-L (mirror image). Deliberate?

  • GUYS! I just bought a new Asus d2x sound-card and it's very important to me. 3:45 Do u hear that sound on the right and the left side repeating? Like a signal loss or an impulse...

  • wake me UP wake me UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuup!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • intro is kind of meandering. i always skip forward to 3:40.

  • @kwoffy I know what you mean, but I always really like the way it sounds, as well as the expectation of the other instruments coming in.

  • It just doesn't get any better than this.

  • This album may not be the songwriting masterpiece In Rainbows was, but it certainly is a sonic masterpiece. Absolutely incredible.

  • Comment removed

  • @TakeMeWithYer I think the lyricism and arrangement of Codex rivals anything in In Rainbows, and IR is definitely my favorite Radiohead album, it's the album that fully got me into the band.

  • This song just makes you feel....yeah, gotta agree with the top comment, don't really know how to describe it. Its funny cause this song, and How To Disappear Completely are the two I feel the most emotional about, and yet they're quite different lol I can't imagine where I would be if I didn't discover this group

  • ...and the sun comes up.

  • i have a "driving on highway at night" playlist thats entirely just this song over and over.

  • Just trying to figure out where I'm going to squeeze this into to top 5 songs of all time including their remake of the Smiths.

  • @ProfessorNeuwave oh man... their remake of Smith is... so awesome! :D It should have as many views as this!

  • simply amazing! indescribable the feeling i get when i listen to this song. thank you!

  • New rule: bald guys must play the drums

  • I love this so much! TKOL is their first album that really feels positive as a whole! this is so great! I mean, off course i love kid a and so on cause i feel screwed about all the mess that is going on in the world, and all the mess that is happing to oneself.. but i mean...that´s not all !

  • I feel every happy feeling I've ever felt in my life again when I listen to this song. And I don't know why.

  • @rubberiskewl789 i couldn't agree more.

  • Gents, please come to Sziget this year. If you do, I'd be able to die happily.

  • Why are the subtitles inverted? :-p

  • @Parsilofon avoid copyright

  • Dat bass.

  • This is my anthem for 2012. The depth of this song is incredible. Everyone who has passion and a soul has had those dreams or nights where they wake up and feel like their life has started over. Every time I listen to this song, I feel like I have a new beginning. My chalkboard has been erased and my slate is clean. Time to fill it up ladies and gentlemen. I am excited for the treasures and blessings to come. Peace and prosperity to all.

  • @jeffkoenig79 Wow brother. What a profound, awesome comment; one of the best I've seen on Youtube. Cheers to you, cheers to Radiohead, cheers to life!

  • @Illadelphism No, cheers to you. Cheers to Radiohead. Cheers to your life. Life is only a gift. It is wrapped in a present everyday. You can unwrap it or let it sit there on the shelf. Your choice. I chose to unwrap it-every single day. It is a blessing to be alive and this song just exemplifies that feeling. Your past does not matter. Listen to this song and feel like you have been washed clean. This is just the beginning (if you thing this is over then you are wrong). Cheers.

  • @Illadelphism there wasn't enough room but I wanted to thank you for your response. I hope this year is the best year of your life and each year just keeps getting better for you.

  • @jeffkoenig79 Thank you and a happy belated new year to you

  • @jeffkoenig79 You nailed it man. My boss was yelling at me the other day, and instead of telling him off and quitting, I just went for a break and listened to Separator 5 times straight and came back with a smile. Life can't get to me if Radiohead has my back

  • @Phallusy1 that sucks about your boss. After working in corporate america and dealing with micromanagement, I soon realize that my hard work was never appreciated. Someone was always unhappy. I have always listened to Radiohead to escape a bad mindset or reset my brain back to normal. Glad you find their music just as powerful. They will always have your back! Cheers!

  • @jeffkoenig79 I had chills while reading your comment...

  • can´t wait for 15th July on Portugal :D

  • É muito natural, a leveza de tocar, o inigualável som transformando o sonho da música do radiohead para os nossos ouvidos, é muito bom escutar essa banda tocar.

  • La chanson qui me réconcilie avec Radiohead

  • @RichardBrehme you can say that again

  • I want to stay in that dream, 18 de abril in Mexico .... every gesture

  • I feel so sorry for Ed's haircut - song is great though

  • beautiful

  • I cry every single time I watch this.

  • Thank you Radiohead for officially releasing this on blu ray/dvd. Fingers crossed for the In Rainbows session.

  • his name is clive. he drums for portishead too =)

  • Who is the second drummer?

  • @kidalb3rt Portishead drummer!

  • Comment removed

  • I think Colin Greenwood deserves to be featured more. His bass is always a bit too low in the mix on albums even though he is freakin' amazing!

  • @lorendorky I'm listening to this on my studio monitors and you can definitely hear the bass!

  • @lorendorky apparently this Is "Colin's album" he was the driving force and the creative brains behind a lot of it - according to what I've read recently - It is his bass on this track that draws the ear I reckon - Its hypnotic !!

  • @bevanmcg very true

  • @bevanmcg

    Pablo Honey-Thom's

    The Bends-Phil's

    OK Computer- Jonny's

    Kid A-Thom's

    Amnesiac-Thom's

    Hail to the Thief- Thom's

    In Rainbows-Ed's

    TKOL-Colin's

  • @etejuanete3 yeah I thought so

  • @etejuanete3 source?

  • @etejuanete3 you´re right

  • @lorendorky if only the bass was louder when he comes in on Bloom all fucking bad ass

  • graciasd

  • The only basement I wish to be trapped in.

  • I was like Thom has been a lefty this whole time and I never new!?!?! Then I realized the picture has been mirrored. I though I was a terrible fan for a second. Phew

  • Where abouts is the basement?

  • @breachmania this is filmed at Maida Vale Studios but i'm not sure where/if its the same for the first time they were in the basement.

  • Anyone know how this new Youtube works? Can never seem to get any suggested videos anymore.

  • i can't help but bob my head like thom when listening to this

  • Justin "we lived on farms, we lived in cities, now we live on the Internet" Timberlake knows his shit... This is his favorite Radiohead song.

  • New album next year. Can't wait. They teased us with this song :P

  • @GamecubeLPs

    dude

    what

  • @TehCheezBurgrz they went into the recording studio this or last month, so u kno what that means.

  • i fucking ride this tune

  • if you think this is over than your wrong.

  • A million dollars or Radiohead?. . . ok ten million? . . . Mee too, without rh I would have nothing to spend my millions of dollars on.

  • @jmeezypeezy1 "Radiohead, take all of my money. please, just take it. all of it. right now"

-what you say if you ever come upon a million dollars

  • sex masquerading as music

  • This album+psylocibin mushrooms= the most overwhelmingly beautiful, philosophical and euphoric experience I've had in my life. Even without drugs their music paints vivid landscapes in my head, but it was still a life changing night, I've felt entirely at peace since than.

  • Love from the basement, this song, it just sticks to my brain.

  • I SERIOUSLY FEEL LIKE LAPSING INTO A TRANCE RIGHT NOW.

  • Comment removed

  • This is my favorite song ever.

  • @Mhoffz My top song in TKOL

  • it's absolutely an artwork.....

  • I don't even know how to describe this song, and this album. It makes me feel sunlight, see beautiful colors, and feel chills up my spine. These musicians take art and make it just complex enough that you can't get enough of it, and just simple enough that you love it. They're perfect.

  • @frootlups I have this theory that every time you listen to Radiohead, you enjoy it more because you understand it more. I have found this to be true for all of my Radiohead experiences, but most profoundly with King of Limbs

  • @frootlups either that or you're a synesthetic.

  • @frootlups true that, couldnt have described it better ^^

  • @frootlups LYSERGIC-ACID

  • let me be the 90 000 person that says how sick the base is played by Colin G.

  • the long hair is interesting.

  • Comment removed

  • I'm loving the epiphone thomas, very beatles.

  • @MrGaryhead I know huh?! That and their Eton collars and lovable moptops....it's like Twickenham without all the rows.

  • The King Of Limbs is way too under-appreciated

  • @Venomfan88 finally. I thought I was the only one that actually appreciated it as much as it deserves to be.

  • Best track on the album

  • Why are there two P. Selways, one with gig lamps?

  • did i mention that we LOVE YOU IN OAKLAND!!\

  • jonny not happy 0.45, I love this!! PLAY OAKLAND PLZ !!!!! BETTER THAN OXFORD

  • This song has such a beautiful soundscape. It's almost spacey and "It's like I'm falling out of bed from a long and weary dream." =]

  • This is not my favorite album and must say was a little disappointed. However, with that said, I appreciate the musicianship and talent that this record exemplifies. I love radiohead and thought Kid A and In Rainbows were their best efforts. I have listened to TKOL prob 100 times trying to "get it." I don't know, maybe I just don't have the ears for it.

  • "layering" exemplified

  • I cry...

  • I don´t care what other people say about this album. I think they´ve done something really specal with The King Of Limbs.

  • Yeah - as always, when done in the basement, even the experimental King of Limbs tracks come off fucking MEGA live.

  • Good Morning Song

  • @Datruebdizzy7285

The mornings from this past summer––woaaa. I'd wake up to somebody talking quietly in my room. "Wheeeere is that coming from?" and then I'd realize it was Yorke's voice trailing off from this song.

  • gile.(crazy good)

  • My favourite all time Radiohead track...

  • touching atmospheres... My favourite song in this album

  • I don't like this song at all, and radiohead were and still are one of my favourite bands

  • Comment removed

  • Isn't the drumming fcking amazing in this song?! This is truly beautiful songwriting..

  • Ok Computer is a great album. But King Of Limbs is great art.

  • @FlyingThruCanyons Dont agree friend. KOL has it's moments, and is great art, but OK is still their Magnum Opus.

  • @quidseeker I respect your opinion OK is better, but it's not their Magnus Opus. that's officially Kid A.

  • @quidseeker I disagree, I think The King of Limbs is much more evolved than Ok Computer. I'd say Kid A is their magnum opus, and TKOL is possibly now my second favorite (It's hard to choose). In the end though, whoes to say which masterpiece is better than another? They have so many after all. It's just up to opinion on which reigns supreme. I'm not slighting Ok Computer because we all know it's wonderful, but I just personally love the more artistic style that they developed after it.

  • @justinorville I agree with you that it's hard to argue with personal tastes.....they are slippery and effluvient as a fart in a hurricane. Might as well argue which way is up on a map (and don't say North) just as difficult to prove and insubstantial but from my personal taste and choice, I have to go with Ok Computer as their best and brightest. That fucking album rivals the Beatles's on their best fucking day and eclipses Pink Floyd in their entirety. Cant say the same about Kid A or TKOL.

  • @quidseeker That's fair and I respect your opinion, but IMO I prefer Radiohead to the Beatles or Pink Floyd in general just because I can make more of an emotional connection to Radiohead's music, but I still love the other two obviously. Kid A and their other later works are so much more innovative and groundbreaking the OK Computer, to me Ok Computer was really just the tip of the creativity iceberg for them. But like we've established, it's really all subjective.

  • @justinorville yeah I agree, the great thing about Radiohead is that you could really pick any album as your favorite aside from Pablo Honey. I hate to get overly sentimental but at the end of the day they're all awesome and so different I wouldn't have it any other way.

  • 3:45 onwards... pure musical bliss.

  • Bliss

  • I think I have just heard perfection...

  • Why do Ed and Johnny look so bummed out? ed around 0:43 and johnny around 0:45. strange.

  • @TheSol1dsnake

Because it's all about Yorke on radiohead

  • @triviani1234 not true

  • @TheSol1dsnake because they have fuck all to do on this album
