  • its such a shame... the trains and trams in Canada are like 80 fuckin years old... everybody wants to drive cars.. so you dont see nice trains like this here.. !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @NeoQuello Except for the trains on CanadaRail....... they've got 10-20 year old GE units.

  • I wish they have this trains in Singapore

  • Nice vid, but those light high speed trains have the disadvantage being too delicate against strong sidewinds. Thus, older ICEs with heavy engines run more stable and can reach higher speed after all. Apart from this the whole ICE-concept is tricky because it is quite delicate against snow and ice. Or better say it's delicate against weather at all.^^ Therefore there is a saying: "German Rail has 4 enemies: spring, summer, autumn and winter."

  • Booooooooooooooooooooooooooom

  • In Spain we have the AVE which runs to 310 km / h is predicted to climb 350 km / h in the coming years.

  • if you try driving as fast as this ice train in america, you will be locked up in Jail.

  • Funny that a train driver's name is Dieter (Detour) :)

  • Siemens also have plans to build these trains in the US.

  • @Trainmaster189 the project has been Canceled in Wisconsen, Ohio, and Florida, Soon California will be canceled before we get through 11 months.

  • @sideslide23 So what will the future of transportation be without high speed rail?

  • @Trainmaster189 same as today, in 30 years from now the cheapest form of Transportation would be the Greyhound bus.

  • @sideslide23 I am not a bus person, but Megabus is very cheap right now. Their buses are also bi-level, so it can carry a lot more people than Greyhound.

  • @Trainmaster189 pariently, the Greyhound buses, automobile, and airliners replaced all passenger railroad in America.

  • @sideslide23 I just don't like it when cars have to go at speed limits and sometimes run on congested highways. Airliners get delayed and sometimes crash.

  • @Trainmaster189 trains crash too..

  • @southern4501isawesom I know that. How many car and aircraft crashers are there compared to train crashes? Europe and Asia made a smart choice by selecting trains instead of highways or airliners. There are highways and airports in Europe and Asia, but trains are the standard form of transport. Remember, thousands of people die in car crashes each year.

  • @sideslide23 flgov.com/2011/02/16/florida-governor-rick-scott-rejects-federal-high-speed-rail/

    too costly.

  • @Lukeypoos001 Instead of Killing the project, Rick should suggest that they should just build the tracks for the Commuter rail and run the commuter rail from Tampa to Orlando instead of the High speed rail, there only 85 miles apart, and all they need is a 79 MPH Diesel Train for SunRail Or Amtrak to get Passenger without having to pay Tolls.

  • @Lukeypoos001 Illinois high speed rail going from Chicago to St Louis is under construction right now.

  • Wow - the energy cost in the construction of these lovely machines is really high!! What a massive carbon footprint they have. And that is even before they hit the rails tor the first time!

  • @chrisnoid ! = EPIC FAIL

  • I see the dial shows a speed of 200 kph ie 125 mph. The UK has three major lines at this speed, all capable of running at 140 mph when in-cab signalling is brought in. HS2 is designed for 400 kph but doesn't stack up either economically or environmentally and all the projected capacity needs can be met at a much lower cost through 'Rail Package 2'.

  • @audaciousstuff Right on, HS2 supporter commonly say "Britain needs to catch up with Europe" or "Britain has no high speed trains", but it is untrue. Both the West Coast and East Coast Main Lines are classed as 'High Speed Railways' because they meets the necessary speed criteria of 125 mph.

HSR as a technology is also 50 years old, so as for the claims that that HS2 is good for Britain's future, not true.

The Japanese are replacing their Bullet trains with Maglev trains. Maglev is the future.

  • @Lukeypoos001 quite right. In cab signalling would increase speed to 140 mph. Maglev (didn't we pioneer this?!) and ultra high speed broadband - video calls, webinars, much more is possible with more bandwidth, and so much faster and greener!

  • @audaciousstuff Yes, Maglev started with Prof Eric Laithwaite in the 60s, he built the first one at Birmingham airport in the 80s

  • @Lukeypoos001 Actually, Emile Bachelet, an American, was awarded a patent of a "levitating transmitting apparatus" in 1912. Hermann Kemper, a German scientist, first began researching magnetic levitation in 1922 and obtained a patent for a monorail absent of wheels in 1934.

  • @Lukeypoos001 I wish I could believe this, but maglev has proven far too expensive in tests. Conventional HSR is cheaper and can attain similar speeds without being placed in a vacuum. Both the East Coast and West Coast mainline can achieve speeds up to 140mph, if we actually bothered to work cab signalling in. I mean, in theory, a service could then be offered at 225kph to London from say, Manchester running through from London to Paris at 300kph. That's quick, but no one will pay...

  • @vulgarmachine2 your mom is too expensive lol lol lol

  • @audaciousstuff yawn, ur full of shit, u base ur argument on a split second clip of a dial. stupid.

  • watch?v=weWmTldrOyo

  • fucking amazing, germany is no 1 for tech
