Thank You for this music, it's betifull! This music is beatufull, melody from my heart, from my youngest years, unforgettable and to one's heart's content.
You have missed the point! There are no 'live' solo recordings ever made by Klaus for commercial release. Yes, there were recordings & vids were made at his concerts, but. I have yet to see or hear any that were capable of capturing the sound from four speaker cabinets, not to mention doing justice to his artistry, on a cassette tape or an 8mm video camera with a single mic! Bootleg vids of his Manchester concert were on E-Bay. Had he been alive and seen them he would branded them as 'shite'
@paulj0557 - One can only wonder. But in the mid 1990's he was without a record contract and I can imagine that he might have felt unwanted. I have read that he announced that he was going to retire. But he found out that he still wanted to play so he started recording again and managed to make two albums before his death.
The trith of the matter is that when he took that decision, all his recordings had been wiped from the catalouges: no other company appeared to be interested in him, and so without any 'product' out there to keep his name in the limelight, he felt that it was not correct or proper to keep the Fan Club going. After all, he had no news for the fans, and his tours were not as frequent. Luckily for all his fans Bell Musik have re-issued his recordings for us to enjoy in enhanced digital sound.
@gramrfone I love what you've done with these videos. Keep it up! Jimmy Smith UK is alive and well I bet you could put together a piece of him. I don't know him , but he helped me with some answers with my Wurlitzer 625T. If you are not familiar with his work he does have a website if you go to his vids w/ the 625T there are links to his website and you can probably make contact with him there, but is youtube name was given to me by another organist. I'll give to you if you contact me paulj0557.
I know Jimmy and he has supplied em with all his recordings for my Podcasts. But apart from one organist in the entire series, all the videos are on organists who are no longer with us. The UK Jimmy Smith is alive and well as we speak!
I just found your videos and have been enjoying them all! Imagine my surprise when I found a Hammond Organ amongest the Wurlitzers! And it's Klaus!
Lenny Dee was popular when I was growing up, but until I found You Tube three years ago I had never heard of Klaus. I was delighted when I found Y.T. videos with music offerings by Klaus. He is a favorite of mine now too.
@poplarboydavid. This is a re-hashed version of the 65 minute video that I made of him, but as certain sections, photos, videos etc are not mine to place in the public domain, I had to make a special version for You-Tube. Glad you enjoyed it.
Fascinating!I am sorry to say that I have not really listened to his recordings.Ofcourse now I'm very curious to explore his catalog.Your channel is my classroom for learning about the great theatre organists!
kewl for sure
