According to Wikipedia: It is a popular legend that Animal was inspired by Keith Moon, the wild drummer of the Who. [3][4] Mick Fleetwood of Fleetwood Mac is also sometimes cited as the inspiration for Animal. [5] However, there is no evidence in the original sketches for the character that suggest that he was based on anybody in particular.
@davestheman4janice Do you know what it was? I know they all smoked pot from time to time back then aside from doing lines but Lindsey didn't seem any different.
I love this song!! I listen mostly the studio version off Tusk. The way Lindsay, Christine, and John's intruments blend in a rolling, groovy way is just infectious. Mick turns very animal-like when doing his solo. Gotta wonder if he's coked out or just feeding off the attention; all the facial expressions & screaming. Funny. Same thing with Lindsay. He seems like he wants to eat his mic. at one point. Whatta' freak. Also, I believe he is smoking a joint onstage. John tries to inhale the smoke.
@vakantieland4 No, I simply dispise the fact you felt I, and the rest of the world needed to know you didnt like or know the song. Mainly because Im beyond tired of sifting through 1000 comment every week delete every other one because they are noting something beyond pointless or probably unrelated to the video I have posted.
@airsofter143 OK, I understand now. You seem to take it personal, but that is not necessary, because not liking the song, does not mean I don't respect you for your work and contribution. You know, it's just a song and it's just an opinion.
butterflybindi he was as bent as a nine bob note,,but it didn't stop at least twenty pairs of Keks being thrown on the stage at evey performance that FM did!
is this from that out of print VHS concert video? Because I remember Mick Fleetwood making more faces -doing an ernie kovacs...also I used to admire Lindsey Buckingham till I found out what a domestic violent man he is. read the book "STORMS" "Storms: My Life with Lindsey Buckingham and Fleetwood Mac"
john's a great bassist-- you should hear his stuff with The Bluesbreakers. i think he did get a little lazy later on... but his lines are still excellent.
Actually IMHO I think John is a damned good bass player, very under-rated, as the others were the front-people. But give a listen to Rumours and he has good bass lines. But this is "fun" to watch
tusk is such a great album...lindsey's stuff on there is some of the most avant-garde that the group ever did...this is one of my favorite fleetwood songs.
Tusk, although it was a brilliant album, did not fare that well. After the wildly successful Rumours record fans were expecting a Rumours II. Tusk was a radical departure from Rumors, to say the least. I will admit I hated it the first time I listened to it, for just that reason. But the more I listened to it, the more I liked it. There are some real gems on that record. But to this day I still can't stand TUSK LOL
Well Stevie and Lindsey write many songs, but lets forget the drug days! Truth is, Lindsey puts the studio hours in for FM and knows a good hook when he hears it. Stevie can get the best engineers and producers and collabs, but Lindsey always brings out the best of Stevies songs :o) That said John is a miserable sod, get a life John!!!!
It is easy to think dont make me wait 4 sex but after seeing Lindsey act it out is his issues with wimen needing a longer time to 'O' and some times a man simply just wants to let er rip! I am sure the sex and make uo sex were often but maybe thei is a tune about being 'pressured' kindof the sounds one makes when things dont go as "planned". am I wrong could Stevie have been a uptight twice a week woman? imho I think more like expectations. Sure is fun to watch and wonder...Mic does look Ripped!
Stevie has more songs than Lindsey, but, between all 3 of them, they can only put about 3 of them on the album a piece. Lindsey always sneaks a few more of his on the album. This is why Stevie has a more successful solo career than he.
plus Lindsey had a very odd sound and Stevie kinda stuck with the times but still had better sound then Lindsey at the time. Plus stevie i think puts more thought into her stuff even though she pretty much writes a new song everyday
I don't like the acoustical version of Big Love and many other songs they do live currently. They should play those like the rock songs they were meant to be.

Gaaah, I love this mad amounts. Best version of this song ever, love when Linds is smoking the joint and John wanders over to inhale a bit. This band is amazing.
Always left behind 2left of John sits the legendary (1st album was ) Christine Perfect !

Mick is the only drummer comparable to the antics of Keith Moon

@airsofter143 Don't be silly; it's sweet to see how you defend Fleetwood Mac.

Rename the group Fleetwood MacBuck or maybe the Buckingham Fleetwoods because LB IS the show in a FM show!!!
fleetwoodmath 3 years ago
i disagree
Lindsey wrote most of the songs
but stevie did a majority of them as well
Because stevie pretty much writes a new song everyday
alot of them dont get recorded
and because Lindsey thinks everything through
alot of his songs get on the album
the thing is FM would be the same without stevie or without lindsey
airsofter143 3 years ago
