I was watching this live when it aired! I might not know who they are if I hadn't been watching Letterman, which I rarely do. I went out and bought the album the very next day and they have been my favorite band since. Come to Chicago White Lies!!
I like the blackness, the roses, the petals falling, the stillness amongst the frantic and the revealing of the truth, David Letterman and most of all, the magnificent White Lies...
I saw these guys live at the VG-lista Topp 20 concert in Oslo, Norway two days ago, that was pretty cool! They were one of the best bands up there performing, no doubt.
Many people are critiquing this band, but I really like their sound Im a huge Joy Division fan and some complain that White Lies are bootlegging their style with a less successful result, but I see it as homage to the late band rather than just a rip off
Plus, every musician copies from their favorite bands scripts!!!

nah joy division was really dark and more head bobbing. i think white lies is a bit lighter, and in my opinion, quite danceable.
and the lead singer is way cuter
