dude you can't hit up random 40 year olds on the sidewalk . They got places to be. And most of them aren't even gonna like Hip-Hop. You gotta target a specific type of person. Someone you know would be interested in it.
i worked in a recording studio that was set inside a mall and i can tell you if you really want the cd's to sell try and get a city permite and play the music with a cd player and sing along with it, that have a few copies of the cd out to be veiwed you might get some buyers,
i am a recording artist and back when i was running the pa system and all that was how i got others to make a fun cd was by getting in the booth and singing myself it really worked
Is there a way that u can have you music playing so that ppl can hear what you want them to pay for... if I hear something that I like and want to rock in my car or while I am cleaning my room... I'll get it.
Switch, A smile and a sample goes a long way. Gatlin had it right. If your "customers" are here and gone within seconds, you need some kind of hook to make them stop and pause. Or, find a place they can't or don't want to move so fast past you. Either way, they need a sample of what they're gonna spend their hard earned cash on. People just don't blindly give out money on the street, especially in this economy. Prove your worth young squire and it will pay off. Good luck fellow human!
Dude Get Excited bring you a Boom Box out playing your Music. Put your Best track on Repeat. And then start dancing to your music like it's the hottest track that's out. Stop People and interview them and ask them what do you think about my music and would you buy it. That's if they have a min or two to spear.
I feel your pain i have been on internet for 8 months going after everything in my genre and nothing. But the ones that find my music love it.But i have done the very same your doing but it didnt work good luck man
its just u have to know ur audience, i no it sounds kinda gay but yunger kids r more likely to part with their cash, if this guy ^^ sed to another random guy his age ' u wanna buy my music ' they fink :S fuck off, but if u sell it to 12 year olds and that then they will buy it, trust me. try going to a nightclub wen its under 18s and stay outside until they come out and cos they all hyped up they will buy it. plus they do have cash on them.
