Yeah, Matt...he's really a hell of a drummer. He's the drummer with the most accurate playing I know, but honestly: I see that as a point he (and the rest of the band) can work on: I like it when bands can surprise on concerts, when they do new things, when they experiment with new things you cannot hear on the album...too often with the AM that all the live versions sound exactly like on the album.

@HighLifetage Greasy metal is where they crank the gain up and just play "heavy" sounding shit, I prefer a more refined sound within metal, a la Protest the Hero, or Between the Buried and Me. I think the gain is fine where it's at.
