But in wing chun it simple against a hook.. Keep the other hand up while punching with other hand... There's many videos on this good and bad. Train train train! A fast 7 second fight for your life. Alot of the guys that have videos on here fighting other people aren't good and don't have the right foot work to do so. It's complicated... @muaythamti I agree with you somewhat. But if the wing chun can guy generate enough of speed that's far greater than his opponent, just like with any martial arts, he can make the trapping works. But the speed required for that, only about a handful of the world's population probably could regenerate it. This is why muay thai is a better system; you don't need to be Superman fast to make it effective.

Furthermore, saying one art is better than the other is like saying swing dance is better than tap dance. Wing Chun sensitivity training/drills are about teaching one to ' feel ' an opening or an opponents future attack ... not about competition. It seems the bigger guy was just ' showing off ' rather than either learning or teaching. The other guy just looked like his bitch!

@muaythamti I agree with you somewhat. But if the wing chun can guy generate enough of speed that's far greater than his opponent, just like with any martial arts, he can make the trapping works. But the speed required for that, only about a handful of the world's population probably could regenerate it. This is why muay thai is a better system; you don't need to be Superman fast to make it effective.

Furthermore, saying one art is better than the other is like saying swing dance is better than tap dance. The quality of the dance depends solely on the dancer, so comparing the two forms is both impossible and unnecessary.

I understand that emin guy is good but I dont understand why he lacked so much respect towards his master definitly the last guy you want to learn from the only thing he can teach is the martial aspect. He doesnt care about humility or all the attitude learned in martial arts. He is not a true martial artist

Didn't Emin Boztepe do that to William Cheung? Funny thing is... It looked like MMA and nothing like WT. Which just goes to show how useless WT is against someone capable of fighting back. If the guy can fight then all that WT nonsense becomes redundant. If the "sifu" happens to be combat aware then he will have studied ground fighting and other techniques. Which further shows how irrelevant WT is.

There is alot of talk about how in effective WT is then here is an idea! Get a camera phone find a wing tsun studio approach the sifu and TRY YOUR LUCK. If you defeat him then put it up on youtube. But! If you get you ass whip STILL PUT IT UP ON YOUTUBE! There is a lot of youtube tough guy talk going around if you are who you say man up if not.......... Well i am sure you get the picture

MMA think they're awesome when the world actually thinks every one of them is a meathead tool. When they say that our art is the 'laughing stock of the world', the 'world' is really just their inner circle of 'bros'. MMA is a sport. Kung fu is not a sport. They're totally different. Someone who specifically trains only ving tsun wouldnt officially fight against someone in mma because they train differently, mma guys can take a hit. WC is self defense but dangerous when applied correctly.

Take two guys equally matched. Train one in wing chun the other in bare knuckle boxing/BJJ/UFC etc.The wing chun guy will always lose, and lose decisively.
How many serious wing chun practitioners supplement their art with other stuff most noticeably ground fighting techniques? That tells me that the so called "deadly" wing chun is ineffective. Those who are intelligent enough to recognise this (by observation or by experience) either give it up or add other techniques.
