Has anyone noticed that Mudus was trying to negociate with Dante?

He said he could create as many mothers as he wanted.

Even though it might not sound like he is trying to stop the fight before it happens, in truth he knew that Dante had enough power to beat him just as Vergil did.

So like Vergil who he braindwashed so that he would serve him and not fight him, he wanted to make Dante to serve him as well.

Wth them at his side no one could beat him.

Right my theory on what happened to Vergil....In DMC4 the yamato is broken i think it must of happened when he fought mundus. But i think the MASSIVE hole that is already in mundus chest vergil did....So i dont think he went down easy

this game was the first to really make great use of chaotic gameplay elements. The style held it all together as something that just fit.

For me, it was The Matrix of the video game world- after it, everyone and their mom started copying its style to the point where its mandatory to have some sort of crazy stylistic & chaotic move set. Not to mention the power-ups and different versions of what your character can morph into. Even juggling enemies in a non fighting game was groundbreaking.

you know what i loved with dmc 1? Too actually feel epic and wield a weapon of legend not just some cray ass guitar as in dmc3. THe sword alone is epic but that devil mode=)=)=) The reach of the sword is like 30 yards and u can feel the force of each blow. THis boss fight is cool not because the boss u are fighting is a cool boss but it is cause you can use spardas devil mode=)

Well as you can see on this video, there're actually 3 fights: the 1st one you're right, is fly shoot and dodge, very much like Starfox of N64; the 2nd is tougher, you fight Mundus in a lava lake, and he becomes a real pain in the ass, specially in DMD mode; the 3rd one is when you are escaping from the island, he manages to open a portal and you need to fight the real form of Mundus, which is the shapeless mass with 3 eyes you see at the end... And Yes...he is a winged Zeus-like guy
