1:10 - 1:40 The music nearly made me cry. Rundas never deserved to die. He saved Samus, twice! Rundas has got to be my favorite character of all, in all the Metriods. He was such a badass. :'(

This is my favourite metroid boss fight, not just prime series. It wasnt hard but it was really fun and exciting. The music is just so epic!!

you don't side step when rundas uses his regular ice attack that freezed you like every time and you don't charge you power beam to collect health near by. please tell me why because without using sidestep or charge beam you can get owned

First time I played this fight, my god.. I had chills the whole time, the music is so fantastic, and it really "helped" that since I didnt use hypermode (I was a n00b so I always forgot I had it at my disposal :P) It really made the fight more challenging and longer, making it feel extra epic. Now these days, I beat him quick and easy since I actually use Hypermode and have fought him a million times. Fantastic battle.

You're wrong. He killed himself so he wouldn't be of any worth for Dark Samus anymore, which is what he wanted. Rundas never wanted to be of any worth for Dark Samus, but when he thought he would be, he killed himself with his own ice to prevent himself being of any worth to Dark Samus.

It is believed that Rundas did it because he didn't want to be a slave of Dark Samus, or he was killed by Dark Samus because he was beaten & D.S. had no use for a weak hunter.

Impossible that Dark Samus had no use for what you say 'a weak hunter'. He took Rundas first, so he had a bigger chance of getting the other two weaker hunters later. Also, he didn't want Rundas to be a threat, so he took him first. Rundas 'was' stronger than Dark Samus.

Damn, it didn't even occur to me to use Hyper Mode. I just used my regular gun, and it took bloody forever. Whoops.

What the heck! When I try to beat him when he flyies upwards he runs into the Big thing in the middle and he doesnt come out. What do I do! I cant beat him this way! I have to die to restart!

He´s not extremely hard. Just shoot at him until he gets stunned. Then, go into Hypermode BEFORE you use the Grapple Beam. And start shooting like crazy.

When he "flies", keep moving to avoid its ice shots. When he uses his three freezing shots, target him and jump to the left(or right, you choose).

If he uses the giant piece of ice , just try to move as fast as you can before he throws it at you.

Oh, and if you need energy, shoot at his iceballs attack, like at 1:31

I got a Wii and this game on Saturday. Awesome game. I battled Rundas today. Pretty easy, but still awesome. The music is very cool. I felt bad for Rundas :(

My game is on the lowest difficulty mode, so maybe that´s why it took me less than 2 minutes to defeat Rundas xD

When I complete my current game, I´ll try with a harder dificulty.

watch out for hypermode difficulty. it's murder. and trust me when i say that dark samus is a bitch on that level. because of her dark echoes, i couldn't defeat AU 313!

yeah, in MP3, dark samus can now make clones of herself called "Dark Echoes". 1 way to tell them apart is to check their visors. dark samus is blue, the echoes r black. another way is to use the x-ray visor. dark samus takes little damage from hypermode attacks, but when she loses a good amount of health, she'll call out Dark Echoes to assist her in battle. sometimes, she'll even absorb them to replenish her energy.

My stratigety: Fire him until he gets stunned, then go into hypermode BEFORE ripping off his armor, then go into hypermode and attack him BUT DO NOT DEPLETE THIS BAR! Wait until you corrupt but DO NOT DEPLETE THIS ONE EITHER OR LET IT REACH THE TOP! He should die in a few seconds. I killed him in less than 30 seconds which is probably the fastest run around!

It was so sad how Rundas, Ghor, And Gandraya died. They had enough humanity left in them too beg for samus to save them. But no matter what samus did she just couldn't save them from dark samus. I bet this scarred samus' already badly scarred physce even further. Every time she can't save someone it hurts her mentaly.

When you get to the room with Fuel Gel, freeze it with the Ice Missile.
