do we really need another fee to support a small group of people?? I support the football and BB teams, I support the gym, I'm supporting a parking garage I'll never use, now some people that do things just make themselves feel good want me to support them??? come on!

i sense a lot of hostility there, but clearly the video states that "this fee would be used to buy on-site renewable energy generation facilities, products, and equipment, promoting energy independence and increasing energy efficiency" Many other schools have already started doing this and have not only reduced their consumption of coal power, but also are showing amazing monetary savings each year as a direct result.

Sorry, no hostility, but nice try to discredit or redirect. Just don't see why I should pay for your hobby. SAVE is not a group of people with expertise in building renewable energy generation facilities. You are not certified engineers that can do the things you suggest. You need to be a PE or certified Professional Engineer to do much of what you are suggesting. I'd like to pay for my own education and not everyone else's special interest projects.
