Its hard to imagine the vette being able to be driven safely on the street with the ultra-high rise hood on it ; that would obscure the drivers vision. What are the specific qualifications of a car being 'street legal' ? I think the term is used pretty loosely isnt it ? Please reply cause the question has always intrigued me. Thanks.

The traction comes from the width: Normal tires are only around 8" wide, whereas the tires on this 'Vette and the 2,200hp Saboury are 15" Radials. That's how they hook and launch on street tires.

Once again: Saboury Corvette: 6.95@210 on STREET TIRES, and that's about the best hook and launch possible.
