I copied this more than twenty years ago. I'm not sure in detail now, but used drop D.

Last part of the song is used natural harmonics, of course. Let's try with your ears, hands, and guitar. It's the best way to improve your technique!

I have most of it down now except for the 2 parts where he does those scale runs up and down the neck. He's hitting open strings at the same time so it's very difficult to hear what the hell he is actually playing.

I'm going to post as soon as a get a camcorder.

@GaryNull - Best I can tell from studying the "Making of GTR" video, the tuning there is E B E A B F#. For this video it appears to be down a step, so D A D G A E. I'm not totally sure about the 2nd string (high B @ GTR, high A here) - it may be E B E A C# F# / D A D G B E (drop D). The GTR sheet music + tab book has the tuning and therefore the tab wrong.

Is this the right audio for the video? Sounds like a 12 string but looks like a nylon 6 string. Was he using an effects unit?
