  • As good as this was "after" Mr. Lucas, he left major "shoes to fill" and was missed.

  • What did Mr. Harmon say at 4:42 that Mrs. Slocombe took offense at?

  • "Mr. Rumbold's been taken queer!"

    "Anything I can do?"

    Mr. Humphries is hilarious, LOL!

  • Mrs. Slocombe: "Oh you know..these executive briefcases are 'eavy" Mr. Lucas: "Brought your sandwiches with you????"

  • So that's where they got the idea for Renées camera-in-the-apron. :)

  • Not much for Mr. Goldberg in this episode.

  • trams and all comments : I think this went on until the late 80s they are all gone expcept capt. peacock rip all I wonder if one of them stared with esther ransen ish stared with her on that's life because there are all gone as well except Esther , does anyone know? good programme wasn't it . . bless.

  • LOL!! I never seen anyone measured by 42 inches and the month of October @_@

  • Mrs Slocombe: 1992!?!?.

Haha thats the year i was born.

  • it's rene artois from allo allo :D he also was in the episode where mrs slocombe was going to marry that greek man :P

  • rene!

  • I adore Mrs. Slocombe. It's just like that when you get a bit of a promotion!

  • "silly old bitch!" lol :-)

  • '' there's a great difference between you and me " " in what way ? " " i own the the place you dont " hahaha

  • good moning?! thumbs up if u no what i mean gordon

  • I like how the audience clapped when Mrs. Slocombe came out of the lift all executive-like. She looked quite excellent. Mr. Humphries and Mrs. Slocombe always got applause when they came out in their different outfits.

  • 1992 lol

  • Miss Brahms gets into her own and looks stunning!

  • um for those of u that dnt realize... alo alo guy is scottish in this episode not brittish...im just sayin cuz im born n bred scot n i can def tell

  • @84westbygod You mean English because British includes Scotland. Also hes wearing a kilt and puts on a slight Scottish accent,so its obvious hes playing a Scottish person in this.

  • the great 'camera-in-the-clothes' gag at 3:00 minutes into this show is later recycled in Lloyd and Croft's next masterpiece series, namely, Allo Allo,

    season five, episode 9.

its effing funny the second time around too!

  • "Silly old bitch."

Almost my sentiments exactly. Mrs. Slocombe acts like her temporary position is a permanent promotion, lords it over everyone and then gets upset with Miss Brahms for wearing the ladies senior assistant frills when Brahms has every right to wear them?

We love you Mrs. Slocombe, and your pussy, but you can be a real bag sometimes.

  • @LuciusTheFair In her defense, she did apologize to Mrs. Brahms and she was on her about her frills before.

  • mr Lucas..that was very naughty ^^

  • allo allo guy

  • yes she did say silly old bitch...!

Mrs Slocombe looks wonderful is her white executive suit!

  • love Trevor Bannister. He's ace!

  • I only know rene for Allo Allo speaking with a french accent. Its weird in a way to hear him speak english. Is he from britain or france? because i hear a little french accent in his english.

  • "WANTED: Crabby old bag..."

    LOL

  • Every time I see Mrs. Slocombe eating those meringues and drinking tea, I get hungry myself. xDD

  • hey its the Allo Allo guy!!! Love that show too...AYBS and AA were telecast the same evening when i was little...

  • Rene again.

  • i thought she said witch

  • @Labyrinth103106 No i pretty sure heard the other one

  • Did the toiletries saleswoman actually say, "silly old bitch" as she was leaving? Could they really get away with saying that back in the 70's??

  • @tams76 Yup, in England anyway. In another episode Captain Peacock calls his wife a silly bitch, so I guess it was okay.

  • @tams76 Yes, and they could get away with that one as long as it was not overdone. Other things they could not get away with. They had standards back then cause anything goes pretty much these days hehe. It's a shame cause we have enough trouble with vulgar talk in normal everyday life, people think they can get away with anything without retribution. I always get cross with too much vulgarity.

  • @tams76 Mrs. Slocombe said cat in response, must have been dog origination.

  • @tams76 Yes she did, and believe it or not but you were able to get away with way more in tv back in those days, eg Fawlty Towers has alot of things that some may take very offence to but its all in the comedy, you do anythinng out of the ordinary nowadays in tv and you get stupid people writing letters complaining and making it controversial

  • @tams76 She sho' did!!

  • @tams76 LOL! In England they could.

  • @tams76 , Yeah she really did say that .

  • YAY YAY! I was hoping you'd post this one. Totally awesome!

  • Eww filthy meringues.. stayed off the stuff for months after watching this episode when i was little :P

  • @peacnluv Me too - lol!

  • love this thank
