The crying sequence was way too long. Other scene just seem so fake. I'm not pretending that acting is easy, but the other film far from this one. Sorry to the filmmaker and the crew. Maybe next time?

I'm not seeing the loneliness but more the disparity of this woman, to cover up the past and her action by quickly gaining a dependant.

The characters are a lot like animals.

She sends out a desperate cry and he responds without hesitation

-which shows his need for the same/or he's just a man(haha).

The fact that she's pregnant which means the guy who got "cut" (from the picture) is gone(passed away) and the father makes me wonder if this is to cover him up or move on.

I have no problem if someone doesn't care for something, and this is far from perfect. But attacking the pace and structure of the film is attacking the one thing that makes this different than the rest of the trash that exploits material like this. I think people's problems with the film are that it's not glamorized for an audience. It's slow, awkward, and depressing, which for better or worse is how life can be.

how do you people think this had great acting? I thought it was trite and awkward - not the good kind of awkward. He spent way too much time on some shots, like the close up of her crying. It was really difficult for me to watch the whole thing.

I wouldn't critique a film by complaining it was difficult for you to watch, as it only makes you look bad. The film was well constructed and gained from it's long takes. If he would have cut the film into a million pieces to suit to your clearly short attention span, he'd just be another generic filmmaker with no vision.

You are correct. Too much alcohol can cause fetal alcohol syndrome, but usually at an early stage of development, and it takes a bit of alcohol. Cats can also give you toxoplasmosis, which could give your kid congenital defects.
