  • Thinking of downloading this so i can model the Mov Box fast food restaurant...nice vid

  • made in china :)

  • Is this your own creation, or based on existing model? Because it has a strong resemblance to LEGO Model Team set 5571 "Giant Truck"/"Black Cat", but several details seem different.

  • optimus prime??

  • At first I thought it was the internet, but when I saw it was a big truck, I realised it couldn't be.

  • wow NICE!!!

  • Slow the video, so it can be a tutorial on how to build this truck, lol.

  • What if I were to slow down the video, and put each part into place as shown. Would it be possible to construct a real version of this render?

  • It actually is a real set, part # 5571

  • does that come as a set

  • WOW

  • thats cool is it hard to make stuff using that lego block builder program ?

  • No, idiot....it's a cab of an 18 Wheeler without the trailer!

  • if you cant tell he is being sarcastic...

  • Very nice animation, I like better fast like this than slow. And thanks for doing this one now i don't have to because it's already been done. I have one in the making and I'm trying something a little different than this. Check it out when it's done.

  • didnt you just use Lego Digital Designer?? Well you can do the same thing in there

  • I made this many years before that. Think before commenting :)

  • Not at hand no, but you can just do a google search for schematics/assemly instructions. Lots of people have scanned the instructions that come with the actual LEGO product. Even a kid can build it ;)

  • do you have any drawings on how to make it cus i want to mak that!!

  • Awesome animation! you own at this

  • yeh I really like this Pezz, looks awesome :) I know a guy who is also doing something like this but I've never seen someone do it with so many lego pieces :)

  • AWESOME!

  • how long did that take you?

  • ok another Question :p did you model each lego peice then put it to place on the car out frame? then use the keyframe tool to move each piece by itself into the new postion by a certain amount of pixels? I think i want to try this in max.

  • That's exactly what I did. I made the car itself back in 2001, which wasn't fun on the hardware back then. I used a freeware lego cad program to build it all up, which took about 120 hours, following a lego manual.

Then I recently took it up again, placed it above the camera and started pulling one brick at a time down, keyframing it. Animating it took around 30 hours, which could've been a lot more if it wasn't for the powerful animation curve editing and whatnot in Maya.

  • Keyframe animation in Maya. Yes I'm insane.

  • How did you do that ?
