hahaha i saw you pointing the desperados in the camera, fucking bad memories, went to poland cpl of years ago during the tallships races (i'm from norway) in gdynia, got so drunk on them damn desperados that i fucking puked 3 hours straight the day after....
@Lucass10 nope it's the other way around. Alcohol is so expensive in norway, that when we come to a country where alcohol is cheap, we drink till we get in a coma like state of mind. if prices we're lowered we wouldn't have that same urge. Ice cold beer from a bar is 6 slotty's give or take, thats 12 norwegian kroners for 0,5 liters. In norway the price is 64 kroners give or take, thats 32 slotty's.
@Lucass10 used to drinking yes, but it was those desperdo's that killed me, i can trink til my mind is way over yonder and my body goes to do stupid shit meanwhile. and i won't even feel a thing the day after, maybe a little lazy and a minor headache but that's it, but it was those desperado's that made me puke...
@Lucass10 np man. soon youll be joining the elites ov polish metal. hate, vader, decapitated, and behemoth. probably more but i joke woke up. stay metal. hails \m/
question. if ur in the "best" recording studio in poland then y is ur entire kit triggered? bass drums i understand but really the rest? just seems like u might as well be rockn a pulse kit instead ov pearl if we dnt get to hear it. feel free to correct me. hails
Pretty cocky for a guy who triggers his whole kit because he plays with no power. I can understand triggering the kicks live so they're more audible but recording with a completely triggered kit, you might as well buy a fucking electronic drum set.
@Lucass10 I winked, didn't I? I'm just critical of people listening to triggered drums and ejaculating, not of the drummers. After all to intelligently use triggers is an art in itself. ;)
@Arjozof So, are you going to bash on a guitarist for using distortion? He couldn't get that sound out of his guitar without it, so why don't we just put a mic up to his guitar un plugged? Exactly, it's the same thing. How do you know how hard he is hitting? More people don't do little baby taps, you have to physically hit the head and make the stroke to trigger it. You just get the sound you want out of your kicks, same with a distortion head.
@FractureTheBand I have written somewhere here that using triggers is a kind of different approach to playing drums altogether, without making a value judgement, mind you. Exactly as you wrote - playing distorted guitar isn't the same as playing guitar. Playing a guitar synth isn't as playing guitar either. A different approach, a different technique, and a different sound.
I only make value judgements towards retarded metalhead audience who don't know these basics and shout awe :>
@MrLuciferion Having SOUND is having technique. With triggers, you got no SOUND, therefore it is not particularly wise to talk about technique then. Rather - a way with technology :>
@Arjozof triggers just makes the sound of your drum kit better...everyone want that heir drum sound good...so why not use the triggers if it makes sound of your drum kit better...
@MrLuciferion Judging from your age, you know nothing about playing drums or sound production. the "sound better" - is precisely the reason why drummers need to work on their technique, because the sound is in the hands (and feet). Using triggers is overriding the need for a good technique, because the sound no longer comes from your hands (nor feet) - it comes from a machine. So you can for example play ultrafast doublebass just by smearing the skin of the drum, and trigger will make it powerful
@Arjozof I don't know if you have noticed, but his sticks are lifting quite high at these speeds, and it sounds tight as hell. You need technique to do that..
@Arjozof dude you can barely hear your bassdrums without triggers at that speed , you need triggers to hear it , drummers use that to listen the bassdrums and yes the drums sounds a lot better with triggers , im not a trigger fan and i dont use them but what the fuck it is true, the triggers makes your drums sound louder and better, triggers doesnt make you any better they just amplify what you are playing, its like micking the drum set and putting an amp to listen to it while you play
@NaxoAteo Precisely. That's what the drum mikes are for. Triggers are used and abused, and I don't mind them in extreme drumming, this is part of this sound, yet the real (and rare) art of drumming is to do that purely acoustically. To teach oneself to play the kick with enough power and speed to be heard acoustically (and regulate the skin of the drum in that direction as well). It is just a matter of principles and self-determination.
the drumming is fucking amazing! can't wait to hear this album.. The drum part at 6:04 is so fun to watch you play - your drumming will take your band far
