I don't know why everyone is arguing that "new gamers don't understand the experience of playing FFVII" (or some rubbish like that). I'm 14, i never got FFVII, so i downloaded it on PSN to see what all the fuss was all about, and i loved it. it is a very inventive and unique RPG experience with well developed characters an awesome story, legendary music and great dialogue. it is by no means perfect (some of the camera angles are irritating among other things)

Omnislash and Lionheart are my two favorite limit breaks. I like both equally. Lionheart is used for the art of battle while Omnislash is purely tactical. Squall has the advantage of singling out a opponent, on the other hand Cloud could take out a whole group of baddies. It all depends on your personal taste which one you like better.

For your information i have played Final Fantasy 1 ,3 ( on the ds ) ,6 ( snes "final fantasy 3" ), 7 and crisis core and from all those, the ones ive liked the best ( history wise and gamplay wise ) are Crisis core and FFVII.

Two things:

1)This scene is so more bad-ass if you actually beat the game for the first time without getting Omnislash and you had no idea what it did(like I did). My friend and I were like "HOLY SHIT!!!"

2)Seph can actually hit you if you dont input any commands, but you auto counter him and that ends the fight. Pretty weak IMO.

UPDATE: We received word as soon as our boys made it back that Square Enix wanted to make it clear that there will not be a Final Fantasy VII remake for PS3. Repeat, there will not be a remake. But, there will be a new Final Fantasy game for the system somewhere down the line. We'll have info on that as it happens.

this aint the PC version, its the playstation version running on ePSXe playstation emulator for the PC, except its using pixel and vertex shaders to slightly modify the graphics a bit.

Yeah ePSXe 1.6.0 is pretty good. But I discovered pSX_1_10 a while back, and I found it to be better in some ways. For save states it's definitely not as convenient as ePSXe. However, it has analog stick support! Although you do need to have a dualshock controller and a psx to usb converter to take advantage of this feature.
