I don't have a text message problem, don't text message. If I want to tell my girlfriend something I just call her or go and talk to her. Text messaging is very impersonal and is very bad for a relationship, it's easier to lie and be deceptive to the other person by text. You can tell if someones lying by the sound of their voice or the look on their face, you can't by a text message.

to me, text messages can work as effectively as messages in cards, or letters. the fact that the message exists virtually does not necessarily compromise the quality of its content.

it could be as heartfelt and genuine as any word-based expression! because its what's written that matters, not the medium it's written on.

maybe you think this way because you're not a card or letter kinda person? just a thought. nothing personal hahaha (:

What I'm getting at is that you can lie really well with a text, it's harder to be untruthful when you're talking to a person or are sanding right infromt of that person. People have tells when they lie, you don't see the tells with a text message.
