this guy obviously has no clue about the ethics of drumming, he's clearly just a corporate employee who has a degree in business management, i have nothing against yamaha drums, i don't choose their drums personally, but when you trying to appeal to drummers who are going to spend up to 3000 on some drums. don't get some fool in to tell you why their made of the same stuff motorbikes are and the fact that yamaha drums are perfectly round get in a real drummer like questlove or steve gadd.

@MrPocketGroover I disagree to a point. I am an engineer and a percussionist and I really like the 'dry' aspects of the drums others may not. Kind of like a tech manual: very boring, but for me, worth every boring detail.

But then, I am an engineer.... :/

Yamaha is awesome. I have a set of Stage

Customs from 1996 with the one piece rigid

lugs and Recording Custom Birch as one of the three woods. Still in mint condition and they've travelled quite a bit in the 14 years I've had them. They just sing with the Remo

heads I've put on them. They sound surprisingly good for semi pro level shells, and I'm sure Evans would do the trick too.

I'll never sell them.

The yamaha clamps are really weak, I accedentally push one down when it was barely locked and now its scarred and wont lock at a good position :S I didnt even force it that hard.
