I am the exact opposite. I have never really liked Anneke that much. Her voice is just too nasal for me. Sharon, on the other hand, has a beautiful voice to me, both on stage and in the CD tracks.

@Yunaja That's an illusion, actually. If you notice in this video, Sharon's voice matches Anneke's in terms of both pitch, intensity and projection. That sense of "fragility" is something Sharon's voice has... but in reality it is actually as strong as a singer who sounds unmaskedly powerful as Anneke. She doesn't throw the brute strength in there. She hides it behind that "fragile" voice. But the technique and the voice itself aren't fragile at all.

Sharon's quality of vocals is vastly superior to this, full of power and passion and Anneke is outa this world. What a combo !!

She CAN sing live... Check out Black Symphony's Mother Earth or some other clips where she's not sick.

And I'd guess that having to travel a lot and constantly put yourself under stress would make you sick, so try doing that for a while and let's see how YOUR health holds up.

If you're still not satisfied, you might want to check out musical singers, who have more training than band singers. If you think THOSE people can't sing live, boy, you've got an ear problem.

Actually. It's not really a Symphonic Metal Group. It's more of just a " Symphonic Vocalist ". If it were metal, it would have a lot more beat, plus the normal things you see in a regular Metal band. EX - Metallica/AC-DC/ Nirvana and so on. Including Death Metal.

Now they seem to use more orchestral influences in their songs. Luckily Sharon's voice fitted both, and both types of metal sound beautiful <3

I can see that, but you have to keep in mind there are many types of metal...black, symphonic, death, power, grind, viking, melodic, etc... I group them in the same category as early Theatre of Tragedy. Not hardcore by any means, but still better then anything you will find on the radio.
