i had the pleasure of meeting stuart he signed my skids albulms saying 'ye like the skids?' i said 'aye doce est decorm est is my fav skids song & stuart signed it in my name, rip stuart x
first track is "one of Skin" from Scared to dance album (skids) second is the title track from the album, "scared dance" from way way back in 78 (I think) timeless I hear you say and you would right,
Apologies for the lateness of this reply, i googled the lyrics and found the answers and forgot i'd posted the question ! Many thanks for the answer and for introducing me to these great songs :-)
hey there, I and many others I suspect would love to have the guitar tabs to that version of Blood and Soil, my son is trying to work it out but cant crack, any help from the knowledge base would be greatly appreciated,
bit over-weighted on blood and soil- its your favourites though so who am i to say!!? He is a genius though - you would need a good hour to do his guitar parts justice - thats before you get onto all the vocal bits!!
fair enough man, I did this in a real hurry which doesnt give the man the respect he deserves so apologies to all. Been reading up about his preferred guitar in the late 70's and early 80's the Yamaha SG2000 which like him is grossly underated, check out the santana clip of europa and he uses an SG2000 to get what some tubers describe as "like 5minutes of sustain; cheers,
Quite right...the man was a true genius...he never get the credit he deserves...and what a nice fella ! i'll never forget the 2 hours spent with him in his pub in Dunfermline back in 1996.
thanks for this, I have been watching interviews with Stuart and the BC Country club convention. I just received my copy of without a safety net to add to my collection. He was a hell of a nice guy and it's such a tragedy that he had such trouble in his life. I didnt know much about him until the past two years through youtube, I have been a fan of the skids since 78 when scared to dance came out and have always known he was an underated genius.huge loss
@zywa349 The Pub was called "Tappie Touris" and from what i know is still open and keeped the name. I hope to put in Youtube soon my meeting with the great Stuart. Cheers mate.

What other 80's band could come close, none, most 80's bands made me run to the toilet to talk with God on the big white telephone.

I agree with you about Stuart, although I never met him.
Do you remember the name of the pub (his pub) in Dunfermline?
I'd like to go there sometime
Cheers
