yes Tech crazy... u r right... wen u dont find faults with ppl like SPB, Dhas, S Janaki, Swarnalatha, Chithra... wen u r deep in their voice... u dont give chances... ARR is a sort of risk taker... by giving chances... to newcomers... u r taking risks too... and from other angle... one of my music friend said this... experienced singers payment is more... 10% or even nothing to new comers is OK... to debut their career...
On Hariharan's 50th birthday celebration, Ilayarajah said that 30 years ago Hariharan came to him for a singing chance, because of unavoidable circumstances he was not able to give him a chance. It is strange that not even one chance he couldn't give to Hariharan, but he gave the most of the chances (> 95%) to SPB and Janaki.We missed to hear his great voice for 30 yrs in Tamil songs. What a tragedy! In that sense, ARR is great! Thanks to him for introducing this versatile voice in Tamil songs
