Question unrelated to the video, but maybe you can help me out. I have created backgrounds for a planned animation, but I don't know how to "apply" it to all of my frames aside from copying it and pasting it into each one. Very cumbersome. Is there an alternative to this?

I am creatin a gif animating file for my msn avatar. But when i play the animation, it is choppy and plays slow. So in the prewiew box i set the speed to 400% instead of 100%. The saved file was still choppy. How do I get a fast animation?

@Logichy On each layer (I would recommend) you can set it to at least 50-25ms. Makes sure you write this in brackets like so: (50ms). I also think you can do it on the pop up you get as you save. At 50ms it should be smoother. At all depends on how many frames you have. It this doesn't do anything, maybe it's the actual animating, maybe it just doesn't have enough frames to make it smooth.

hit "Ctrl-L" to get the layer dialogue. I went and searched the hard way, and realized it had a shortcut. If it doesn't work, Edit shortcut keys to make a key for it and presto.

I've been trying to use GAP, but can't even get the main interface to pop up. It was hell on earth finding a windows installer for GAP. Now none of the plugins seem to work. GIMP is a major pain in the ass.

I have a doubt about the tutorial ...

I'm doing is an animation, and where he says, Filters / animation / Optimize for Gif. but it is loose and the bottom layer and other layers are shaded from the anchorage of these in the sprite and the bottom and vice versa. "If I am not well understood." I want to amend this but the program gives me much tied.

PIVOT?!?!?!? use that if you ONLY want to make stick figure animations... with GIMP you can make a TRUE animation/cartoon with REAL charcters that you make or are from your favorite T.V. show or video game.

(you could make stick figure animations with GIMP)

Hmm... That's a good question.... I personaly like to make all the frames, but I guess it's up to you! :D If you make every frame you may be able to add things to it and make it look better... I don't know too much about the other option so chose which ever suits you.
