the history of mustard started around 3000 yrs ago in china. then it came to ancient greece, rome and then got all oer the rest of the then known world. So it`s NOt a german invention. Btw: Sweet mustard is used mostly on bavarian weisswurst and definetly NOT for bratwurst. For that you use mostly mild, hot or extrahot. And a bratwurst is to be prepared in a frying pan or on a barbecue.
Normally Senf is not sweet, its hot. If you wanna have seet Senf you must get "Bavarian Senf". I think you were dying to know this, right or left ? :)
