  • I love the 90's way better than this crappy music of today. I'm a late 80's kid

  • I am 27 and love 90s R&B along with my other genres ya know. In the 90s, it wasn't ok to be trifling in a song!

  • 6 people were born in the 90's and dont appreciate REAL MUSIC

  • Remember when Ashley when was singing this song and turned into a dollar sign in Will's eyes? LMAOO

  • i like to mix this song

  • i heard this sampled in dj godfathers player haters in dis house.

  • Classic jam! I'm glad that they still have LONGEVITY!!!!!! Zhane ROCKS!!!!!!!

  • my parents had both back then...and they had a humongous record player too

  • neo-soul pioneers

  • classic for ever!!Everybody move your body to this!!!here is something that will keep you move ND GROOVE....hey mr dj where is da party...lets get it started ....everybody is ready to party.....ON nd ON and ON....PEACE

  • such a great tune! used to play this all summer when i learnt to drive and would rock around in my little 1 point nothing nova! xx

  • With songs like this I'm priveliged to say that I was born in 1993!

PS. Fresh Prince brought me here!

  • YEEEAA Buddy..this is my jam!

  • If Goldilocks were to choose a decade, the 90's would be it; Just right.

The 90's for me was the decade where old school meets modernization in fact, the 90's defines the term "modern".

Songs like this are just like those in the 70's and 80's; smooth and funky but with a hint of modern touch just to remind you that this thing won't go out of style.

It's like a simple printed T-shirt; No matter how old it is, it still is a T shirt and it won't look out of place in the future.

  • this song came out when i was 2... Im pretty sure i was jammin to this on my mama's casset radio ....#Classic

  • @ShayCS hahaa same here!

  • @ShayCS lol, we had CD's in 93-94, : )

  • @Donnomercy i know but im pretty sure my mom still had her casset player tho lol cuz i remember having one

  • what the fuck? we had CD's

  • Ashley was singing this song in a record store on Fresh Prince of Bel Air

  • Unlike anything spewed up by the current crop of talentless celebrity noise-fiddlers, the beauty and genius of this track is that Zhane sampled the superb original musical motif and took it to a new place, making something fresh and uniquely artistic in its own right.

There was integrity and real talent in the 1990s for everybody to see; now it's nowhere to be seen unless you look very hard.

The 2000s may be remembered as the place where organic, potent and moving popular music went to die.

  • Played this for my students during study hall back in the day!

  • I saw em at summer jam in Sacramento. They were pretty damn good

  • Wow...this takes me back to first grade!!!

This is how music should ALWAYS BE! Smooth, sensual, and sexy!!!!!

    :)

  • i love this kind of music..

  • OMG!!! DO YOU KNOW HOW LONG I'VE LOOKED FOR THIS SONG???!!! I kept humming the melody to myself but couldn't for the life of me remember lyrics enough to find it! So happy now! 90s FOREVER!!!

  • Damn this takes me back to high school. I really missing this feeling.

  • What happen to them! I miss real music!

  • i love it....brings back memories

  • I don't see why people in my generation ages 14-25 don't have any taste in music. It's seems to me that everybody in my generation would rather listen to those generic, I get more hoes in a bag of clothes, constipated robots that you here on the radio.

  • @Dante95nyc If you don't mind me replying, I just heard this song yesterday while driving down Lake Shore Drive in Chicago and I loved it. It was a remixed version I think. I agree with what you put on this comment though, I'm 18 years old and I HATE today's music. I wish that they would play more songs from back in the day..... Back in my native Honduras, they play songs that you'll barely hear on the radio here. The music here just isn't as good as it once was anymore...

  • make me want to throw a 90s party!

  • @JadeGhostIII

i don't think it changes THAT fast. not like a year or 2 or anythg. but even in the media, with like the next big thing and stuff certain things can be out in a flash, other years or decades. ex: harry potter, for the longest time you couldn't turn on a tv without hearing something about them,.. now not so much, i mean it's still popular but it's not as media desirable anymore (i've kinda been talking about the media this whole time) and now it's twilight. :)

  • Whatever happened to these two talented ladies??? They were soo awesome! I will not forget how radio played this alot!!!!

  • @joshdominick My man said he sucked on them titties for hours...lol

  • There is an authenticity in this music. I can't remember how, or why this music has become so relevant to with me. I'm 20 now and I think this song was around when I was about 7/8 somewhere in the earlier years. The feeling in the music is so much more warm and effortless.

  • @hellounderestimate haha you said it man im 24 now and theres just a feeling this music gives you that cant be duplicated even by the current "underground"

  • why is'nt music like this nowadays.

  • I remember singing this in the locker room with my girlfriends in '94!

  • ahh the memories of my teenage years in the 90's :)

  • @JadeGhostIII DITTO.

  • Oh Sing it to me Renee!

  • dope!!!

  • i remember this album as a casset tape and that was a nice long album one of the many tapes that lasted for what was it an hour and a half.....hahahaha back in the day when i was just a jit

  • I miss the early 90's. :(

  • Riding through Queens, Brooklyn and Manhattan listening to the ladies in traffic and lights.

  • they played this after my prom(2010) it was funny cause we were all dancing with the teachers they were shocked that we remembered this song..

  • Have this in the tape archives somewhere.

  • Seriously, this music just has so much feeling behind it, it screams out 90s culture. I absolutely love it, so much more relevance than today's music.

  • like this if you remember this from major payne

  • speaks for itself

  • Today's Friday

  • @Memphiss322 Today is Friday!

  • Why cant R&B come back to this type o shit...

  • HAHA ZHANE' IS MY NAME;)

  • Hella chill throw back

  • omg..i was born in the wrong era

  • @BonitaGurl333 awww were u born after the early 1990s? cuz if you were and this music now is the stuff you know. then i'm sorry. i'm just glad i was born in 1991... when i was young growing up on ur parents music was acceptable for a kid and they grew to appreciate music while still listening things in the 90s and later learning that after about 2003 the music industry really took a turn for the worst. you don't need to have talent. you just need to be marketable. :(

  • @annasosexy yeah, all i listen to is old school music, i only listen to this when I'm ready to dance i wish i was born earlier

  • @annasosexy you were 3 when this came out and this is your parents music, what makes you so much more "in the know" than someone born 96 or later ?

  • @JadeGhostIII you need to re read my stuff and stick to the subject. but in reply to your question... i've met many a people born after the year you write... and based on what i've seen they just don't appreciate this music as well those born before. yes i know i was 3 but that doesn't mean that i didn't grow up on this or have an appreciation that i've found younger kids don't. anyhoo i'm talking about being in the know i'm talking about the appreciation for music that seems to have been lost.

  • @annasosexy whats there to re read, you feel sorry for somone 5 years younger than you because you feel they dont have the same apprication for music because they're sooooo much younger, just sounds like bullshit sorry

  • @JadeGhostIII well then you need to dig deeper because that's not it at all. i know plenty of ppl 5 years younger than me who appreciate this music. and i've met plenty my age and even older who don't appreciate it. i was talking in terms of it being acceptable music to listen to and then somehow the music game change and stuff like this was thrown out the window. I was not talking about u or anyone else ur age specifically but more how the music game change in a such a short amount of time.

  • @annasosexy so the what was the point of saying that "if you were born after the early 90's and this is all the stuff that you know than i feel sorry for you, im just glad i was born in 91" to bonitagurl333? after the early 90 would be 95 or more no?

  • @JadeGhostIII and I'm sorry that you were born so that by a certain age for you this music was on it's way out. also if this kind of music is what kids my age and your were still interested in more musicians like this would be as famous as gaga or bieber and ppl from before like usher and beyonce and whoever else would not be changing their style to match this techno pop stuff. not that I don't listen to gaga and other's like her I do. but now the heart of music is so buried it's ridic.

  • @annasosexy if you would check my profile you would know that I am 25 which would make me 5 yrs older than u and 8 at the time this came out, how do you know what im interested in? u obviously have know clue besides your reasoning that kids 5 yrs younger than you dont appriciate this music, which is kinda of stupid considering the amount of kids into hendrix, sam cooke,Marvin gay, and plenty of others waaaay before there time, your not an authority on what kids younger than u are listening too

  • @JadeGhostIII ok i am so done with this. because you just repeated the last thing i said to you. which means you don't listen. and that's fine. we don't need to agree. everyone has their opinions. i never said i was an authority. i was strictly giving my opinion that you don't have to agree with. i said that are people younger than me who do like music before their time and there are event ppl my age who don't like that kind music. i was mainly going off a perception shown in media. that's all.

  • @annasosexy listen all im saying is that I wouldn't brag about being born in 91, which isn't much older as far as music is conscerned than kids born after the early 90s. That is all.

  • @JadeGhostIII i'm not bragging about anything. you're off mark of what I what trying to say. and that's ok. And in terms of music... music changes so fast that a year is not a normal year... it's like 5. it may not be apparent to a listener, but the signs of changes are always there.

hey no hard feelings over anything alright? this was a simply a dumb argument that got way out of hand, especially since we don't know each other. if i offended you in anyway, i'm sorry. :)

  • @annasosexy yeah no hard feelings, I agree music changes quickly but not as quick as u think ;)

  • @annasosexy I would say music is in the state that its in more so because they havent been exposed to it or just stick to one genre and whats comftorble or consedered cool at the moment

  • my goodness, this is tough, good soulful music

  • Back when music was music...and not crap.

  • i remember bumping into a guy while dancing to this; he had a nice jab :0

  • the neo soul before neo soul. shame they didnt get enuff credit

  • the 90's were the ishh... what happened to real soul music!!!

  • Fresh Prince of Bel-Air kept playing their music! Think about how many times their music was on Will Smith's show!!!

  • FUCK 2000's r&b singers sucha a rihanna, beyonce and fucking chris brown! Now this is the real r&b shit with smooth as fuck!

  • Gotta luv the 90's. Glad I grew up during the Golden Age of Music. :)

  • oh damn i wanna go out now.. hehehe"

  • party jams like this are the shit. this is what rnb is missing desperately today. anyone listening????
