It is BETTER to play slow and precise then to play fast and messy and inaccurate!!! She is playing this very very well!  She is playing this at a tempo that is comfortable for her.

Benita, your daughter's playing is very accurate and with clear tones!! Should be learned in this manner.

Personally, I would play this faster (allegro) in a more sprightly tempo once you feel more comfortable and secure; but that's just me!

blueyoyi- you are right. We are working for control and trying to refine position, as well as trying to be musical in slow work, and other refinements. At this time, piano is taking a backseat to figure skating (to my dismay!) I'm hoping this changes! Thanks for your comment.

Nice job with this...if every kid who performed this piece practiced this at this tempo the world would be a better place. It's always better to play something slowly and accurately (in my opinion) than just spew notes all over the place!

Just think...if you play it this speed every day for a month or two with all the attention to detail that it deserves...imagine what it will be? It will be very secure!

Oh Victoria, you are sch a darling little girl. I know your mother is so proud of you! Something to remember as an artist... you will always have someone say, "It should go faster, it should go slower, it should be louder, it should be softer..etc" But, when you play, you play from you heart, and that is the MOST important thing- To live in the music.
