  • lets get something straight to the people who don't know. auzzies are born with tails, but since they are so long and whippy the get docked (cut off) some people choose not to have thier dog's tail docked, and in this case it is not allowed. p.s. nice tricks

  • I gotta teach my auzi dog these tricks!! This was great I just stared at him like.. U will be doing this :) great job training them!

  • Your dogs are simply amazing! I bet it took a lot of practice to teach them all those awesome tricks. The handstands are particularly impressive. I've never seen a dog do those before. I'll have to see if I can't get my Aussie to do that too!

  • Awesome!!!! They're adorable. I want an Aussie real, real bad. Right now I have an incredible mutt. How is it having 2 of them? Difficult at all?

  • Cute!

  • Allow me to just say that I was having a crummy day and watching this video made me smile a whole lot. I really want to get an Aussie Shepherd when I have my own apartment.

  • yo can i get a aussie with a tail in america? your aussie looks cute with the tail.

  • Some Aussies are born with tails, some are not, some are already docked and some are docked by the breeder/owner at a very young age. Here in the states we prefer them without tails, whereas in Europe you get faulted for docking the tail if you're showing the dog. I believe if it's a natural docked tail, you don't get faulted, you are just not allowed to dock them if they have a tail.

  • this is such a cute video!

  • My aussie has a tail and is not a mix. Aussies arent born without tails- they are docked when they are very young.

  • Love it! I dont think i would have the patience to teach my dogs these tricks :). But I must say, I love aussies with tails! Ive been trying to teach my dog to spin but they always sit before they make a full circle.

  • Usually in Europe there are 3 different tail lengs: Full tail, halv and no tale.

  • @JacoBoy69 And when thet have half or no tale at all, they are born that way.

  • oh my gosh!!!! this is exactly y australian shepherds r my fav breed of dogz!!!!! i mite be getting one soon <3

  • What an amazing video!!!! I really love the song too especially at the beginning!! Very cute. I love my Black Tri Aussie- Mouse!

  • WOW! Your Aussies are gorgeous and very talented! ^_^ Love the song, by the way.

  • Great song to this video!! And both you and your dogs are amazing! Very inspiring! :)

  • An awesome and inspiring video! Thanks!

  • amazing doggies, so cute!! 5*****, favorite

  • cotrane,

they are all aussie. here in america we still practice the barbaric custom of tail docking and worse, ear cropping. i have 5 aussies and show in coformation, obe, agaility, and herding. i would totally sign any petition to end the docking practice. Grosse brav!!!

  • Wow! The hand stand was awesome! Never seen that before!

    You guys are absolutely AWESOME!

  • Awesome video. Yes. Germany and other EU countries do not practice the docking of tails on breeds of dogs. And yes they are Aussies. We did not have the choice unfortunately when we got our Lena for a breeder in the States she was already docked.

  • Thats strange! I didn't know that there were aussies with tails.

  • Here in Germany, Aussies with tails are more common than the ones with short tails because the majority auf aussies are born with long tails. By the way, you are not allowed here to present ANY breed that is docked on a conformation show! I can understand that long tailed aussies look strange to you, but short tailes aussies look strange to most of the people here in Germany :)

  • @coltrane4204 That is becasue the crop them. Some can be born with no tail. . .but most dogs you have to crop them.

  • General Appearance

The Australian Shepherd is an intelligent working dog of strong herding and guarding instincts. He is a loyal companion and has the stamina to work all day. He is well balanced, slightly longer than tall, of medium size and bone, with coloring that offers variety and individuality. He is attentive and animated, lithe and agile, solid and muscular without cloddiness. He has a coat of moderate length and coarseness. HE HAS A DOCKED OR NATURAL BOBBED TAIL.

    From AKC site.

  • they must be aussie mixes. aussies do not have tails. nice tricks anyhow!!

  • No, they're no mixes :) I'm from Europe and while docking isn't allowed here they have tails!
