The Thawks puppets could have made a great remake of the Wizard of Oz; with Kate as Dorothy, Mary as Glinda, Zelda as Wicked Witch of the West, Cystar as Witch of the East. Zero = tin man, Stu Dapples = scarecrow, and Mrs. Dapples = Auntie Em. Ninestein would be the Wizard.
@RussinTirnaNog VERY good choice to play Ninestein, not so sure about the choice of Kate Kestrel though, but hey...everyone's opinions are different. Here's who i would cast in the roles (going with your choice of Gary Sinise though)
@MrPJC101 Yes, we are getting there. How about Chris Evans for Hawkeye, Christian is a little too old for part I think, lol and yes go for Jackie Chan or again some one younger could be Masi Oka from Heroes????
@RussinTirnaNog Think i'll stick with Jackie Chan to be honest, but hey, good suggestion all the same. What about changing Christian Bale.......to CHRIS PINE?
@RussinTirnaNog They sound good. Alternatively, I'm not an Eastenders expert, but I've heard/read a few comments that there's a woman called Shirley in it, who apparently looks like Zelda.
With the Terrahawks theme, has anyone noticed that while the notes are different producing a completely different tune, the rythmn of the notes closely matches the Star Trek TNG theme? Just tap your fingers as the notes are played and you'll find them very similar
@mikecane2008 Think that synth was used because the was indeed little or no money to make Terrahawks.I have read that Gerry Anderson wanted to use Derek Meddings(effects designer on Thunderbirds) to do the SFX on Terrahawks but was told "you cant afford him".He had forged a successful movie career doing the FX for the later James Bond films and Superman - The Movie
WOW! This is awesome! Who would think, that the royal philharmonic orchestra would play the theme of my No.1 tv show EVER? Thank you very much for uploading this audio/video. Awesome!
Thanks for uploading. I have been looking for all the tracks from "Images: 18 Beautiful Instrumentals" for ages (it has sentimental value for me). Some of these great instrumentals are just not available anyway - including a fantastic version of "Bridge Over Troubled Waters", "And I'm Telling You I'm Not Going", "Dynasty", "Memory" and others. Where did you get the mps for this album? I'd love to get a hold on them. But anyway, thanks so much for posting "Terrahawks". Brilliant!
1 America from "The Jazz Singer" 2 What a Feeling from "Flashdance" 3 Main Theme from the Thorn Birds 4 Greatest Love of All 5 Terms of Endearment 6 Woman in You from "Stayin' Alive" 7 All Time High from "Octopussy" 8 It Might Be You from "Tootsie" 9 Terrahawks 10 Dynasty from "Dynasty" 11 Main Theme from the Champions 12 Up Where We Belong from "An Officer and a Gentleman" 13 Loving Walter
Hi. Yeah, That's the LP I have. I bought it from a chap in Germany, via Discogs a few weeks ago. I was actually looking for the tv series version of the Terrahawks theme and I spotted the RPO version, and curiosity got the better of me, so I just bought this, and I'm quite glad I did. It's an excellent version. I might upload the rest of the tracks off the LP when I've got the time. Thanks. Ste. :)
@TimeForHouse PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE upload the rest of these track. I have been looking for mp3s for ages - since I was a child. I have the cassette but am not able to convert to mps. There are some fantastic tracks on this album not available anywhere - unbelievably. "Bridge Over Troubled Waters" is just fantastic and yet cannot be bought digitally anyway - and I've looked forever. Thanks for u/l of "Terrahawks". It's excellent.
@hamblettamaud So far as I know these tracks are not available to buy as mps anyway: up where we belong all time high memory woman and i'm telling you i'm not going dynasty you've lost that lovin' feeling loving walter all creatures great and small bridge over troubled water
@johneddy98033 Orchestration by the man himself: Richard Harvey - the composer who also arranged most of the other tracks on this LP (and CD in 86) which was originally on K-tel and called 'On Screen' . It was recorded in 1983. The Terrahawks OST was always written with an orchestra in mind, but they didn't have enough budget for a full orchestra to score the entire series so it went down the Fairlight and synthesizer route recorded by Harvey and engineered by Steve Rance (CEO of Fairlight US)
Even though the word "epic" is overused these days, in this case it couldn't be more appropriate! :)

@MrPJC101 Yes, albeit I had to look him up. He will do fine. Now, who shall we ask to be Zelda, Youngstar and Zelda's sister?? lol
RussinTirnaNog 7 months ago
@RussinTirnaNog Don't know about Zelda; but Harry Enfield could be Yungstar, and Liz Smith would make a good Cystar.

@battywattywoo Yes yes, perfect I can see Liz Smith playing Cystar. Harry is a great choice.

It's incredible. The theme was actually GREAT but suffered from that cheap synth. What a shame.
