Hey, thanks for the nice comments. Well, except for the head thing. :-) No, you're right. I do. Made me laugh to hear you mention it. Anyway, thanks again. All the best!
You have great skills. Other than your head always tilting to the left.... you are one of the best speakers I have ever seen. A real MasterCommunicator. I was just messing with you on the head tilt thing. But you do tilt your head.
I totally get your point. I am a 'presentation skills' trainer, and what you are talking about is the most important skill to be taught. Having mastered that, you do have to address vocal quality, eye contact, gestures. It comes naturally to you, but a lot of speakers struggle with physical skills and if you are mumbling and slouching you will detract from excellent content.
@joniarcher Thanks for the comments! Of course you're right. I work on skills myself. I really just wanted to make the point that as people are searching on PP backgrounds, etc, they probably should be thinking more about what they're planning to say in the first place.
I am preparing a presentation and you have given me excellent points - its about what we say and how we interact with our audience. Thanks for the uplift!
Awesome David .. absolutely the most point on, less thought about, but MOST important component of a presentation "CONTENT"! I don't care if you bullet point fades away, then come back, then slowly shimmy's to the left, then suddenly drops in from the top scaring the *BLEEP" out of me .. Hey, stop pimpin' the poppy-seeds out of your pimp daddy presentation people and pay attention to the content of your PPT .. OK I will retire and take my medication now! :-) Be well Dave !
Good one David. I am glad that I watched your video. No blah blah blah, you spoke from the heart, crafted your message succinctly...and you know what? I actually heard you loud n' clear. I'm going to give it a try --- practice it ---- because I want to be heard when I am afforded an opportunity to deliver an important message, or messages, to an audience. Cheers+ Thank you for your ongoing efforts.
your delivery, not just your message, is amazing. Great communicator, your born to do presentations. Bet your in H.R. for a major company. :)
