  • shitting myself to see this in feb with school :s

  • I'VE SEEN THIS 3 TIMES AND AM GOING FOR A FOURTH NEXT MONTH

SCARIEST THING IVE SEEN IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!!

  • the worst bit is when he is in chair and he aims the torch up and you see her face, i genuinley had to close my eyes lol

  • Who are the cast?

  • who are the cast?

  • i don't think they'd reveal the woman on these youtube videos just to be fair to the people who produce the play. it isn't really fair if everything is revealed, the woman is the best part.

  • @Rebecca9021010 right. even when I saw it with my school's theater club a few years ago, we all stayed after to talk to the actors but they wouldn't even bring the woman out then. someone asked if we could meet her and they were just like, "what woman?" lol

  • god when i saw this i was so terrified. I broke my friends hand and then we he claimed to not be scared of ghost stories, he jumped about 3 inches in the air at this play lol

  • hmm, the newer version in london is much better, performed and the special effects were spoooooky

  • this is nothing like the one i saw, it is i guess but there both in this scene, when i saw it, it was only him :/

  • Are you sure you're not thinking of a different scene from the play?

  • Hi in mèxico the name of the mountege is la dama de negro. is wonderful i live in san luis potosi.mèxico and is the same its great

  • *better

  • DONT be put off by the 1st half the 2nd half is immense ..... i went in looking at all of the words describing the play in the foyer of the fortune theater .... thinking well they are gonna be hugely exaggerated ,...... i came out thinking they were undestatements. if u eva get given the chance 2 see it GO!!! im seeing it agian in June :) cant wait !!

  • Fear has a name... Need I go on?

  • Isn't it wonderful how three actors, atmospheric lighting and some music can scare audiences shitless?! I love this play and book. :)

  • you know in the one i watched in london there was no music at all and it was even etter. the silences being piersced by the haunting noises.

  • when she appears at the end... Oh my gosh !!! terrifying !!!

  • im only 13 and im plannng on seeing this on the 20th of october... seeing clips like this make me wonder why i paid to see it...im already scard

  • Its really creepy. But its so worth it. i'm sure you already saw it cuz u said the 20th of o\October but its so much fun to see because it's more of a psychological thriller. It makes you afraid of the things you don't know and can't see. That's why psychological thrillers always out-scare gorey movies because you see everything. Nothing is left to the imagination. The scariest thing in the world is a person's imagination. It can even make someone commit suicide!! Think about that!! Lol. Crazy!!

  • yer i finally saw it it was Soooooo scary i had my head in my coat the hole of the secound half

  • It was AMAZING though. Haha.

  • i was expecting the woman in black to appear : ( oh well. still a good play

i want to see it again as I missed most of it! XD

  • i screamed and screamed and screamed at this play. haha. and im an 18 year old boy!

  • all the appearances of the woman in black are terrifying but the very last appearance- the thing she does with her body - and her face - my heart stopped beating!

  • How come you don't put the scary bits up????It's been 10 years since i saw it and i've forgotten them. I just remember that they were SCARY!!

  • saw it last night with timothy watson as the actor i was absolutely terrified the whole second half and the first for a bit cause she went right by me so scary

  • ah wudve hated to have sat on the ground audience (I wa sin balcony thing above) and i looked down to notice her come onto the stage that mustve been freaky lol

  • @Eskimop16 I was it about a mounth ago was sat in the stalls luckly i wasn't at the end of the row, but i was pretty close

  • in this scene where does the woman in black appear all u hear is the horse and carrage and then a little scream

  • hav u heard the camera person bein terrified?! lol!!

  • I saw it last year with the school, its the most amazing thing ive ever seen! it was terrifying! I was really sceptical about it too but it really is fanastic

  • I saw it at the Fortune Theatre in London on monday.... it's so creepy!!

  • i am going how scary actualy is it im going 2morrow

  • I saw this on Tuesday the 28th (Oct) at the Fortune Theatre in London and it bloody TERRIFIED nme - seriously, go and see it!

  • I saw this play up in London at the Fortune theatre. Basically its these two guys who put on this play to bring some experiences one of these guys had to life. And all the way through the create a feeling that they were so much worse were than the old guy had thought they were. They also make you believe that it had happened, and near the end the old guy says he never saw the woman in black. Its sooo scary.

  • I saw this yesterday at the regent theatre in stoke, it was soooo creepy! I'm so glad i didn't see her face properly (i was sorta in the middle near the back) Else i would have been really scared

  • ...i went 2 c it in cheltenham and i was in the upper circle at the front and i saw her face!....it wasnt pretty... i think they were better actors in cheltenham wen i went 2 c it but these r still gd! :)

  • omg same:D i was in the front row in stalls:D scary scary:D

  • i no!! lol! XD i wood love 2 go and c it agen! but the rokin chair part freaked me out!! that was the scariest bit in my opinion!! i was so scared that i froze on the spot! my frend had 2 get me out of like a trance thing! :O

  • Hi. I'm going to see it in October, and I just wondered, urm, why arn't you supposed to look up?

  • Pleeeease put all of the play up

scared the shite out of me!

  • saw that today. it amused me... a lot (: when the lady was swinging in the nursery

  • i saw this a couple of days ago. im in year 8 as well! The bit with the nursery is scary, and with the torch when he runs around. The bit where he goes mad, i started to feel i was losing it! Still cant get my head round it!

  • Dont sit in the aisle and dont look up.

  • Hi, urm, i just wondered, why arn't you supposed to look up. I'm going to see this show in October and am already scared lol!!

  • its just something you say to people going to see it, it depends where your seats are and whatnot and also on the theatre group, but there is a time in the play that you are so fixated on what is happening on stage, so when you feel a dark shadow passyou and black material brushes past your face, it means shes right beside you! lol This really freaked me out when I seen it. The Dont look up is about not looking at her face when she passes you. Theatre superstition and all that jazz.

  • I saw the play in London in 2004 or 2005 I think and I was scared outa my pants!

  • saw it 2 days ago in london...omg i have never been more frightened in my life. i was crying shaking and screaming. couldnt get out of ther fast enough. loll amazinggg play. wrtiting bout it for my as level drama next weds :)

  • lol my friends have gone to see it today for their gcse. apparently you're not ment to look up and it's a good idea not to sit near the edge?

  • haha. yeah. there were a few times where i couldn't look at the woman. and downstairs she walks past the audience.

  • I saw this with my GCSE drama class, much scarier than any film i have seen, very atmospheric.

  • Meee too! lol i went today in london. GSCE drama is the best.... I got an A* for playing JEFFRY in BILLY LIAR lolz

But really enjoyed it. My audience was full of little kids in the stalls. BIG MISTAKE.

    xx

  • I saw it on Monday for my drama GCSE, but there was a guy in the row behind me who was making notes.

He made evidently too many notes and was flicking through his book, making loads of noise in rustling.

    RUINED the atmosphere.

    xx

  • @Miikkeeee I saw this at the Fortune too! I was SO scared when she walked down the aisle, RIGHT past me!

  • i saw it on thursday last week and jesus christ i never been so scared in my entire life my m8 nearly lost circulation in her hand as i was holdin it so hard

  • i wanted to get out by half way through :| my friend actually had to sit on me in the interval to stop me leaving..

  • before i saw this play i was like, Im not gonna be scared, how can it b scary when its not got any special effects and its just a play, and in the second half i was like, FUCK ME I THINK IM GONNA PASS OUT! sooooo scary but sooo good i wanna see it again!

  • the first time i saw this, I only had my eyes open for about five minutes and I spent the rest of the play, lying, shaking on my friend while some random australian woman put her coat on me and started patting my head saying "It's ok, sweetie.."
