  • do you have the sheet music to this?!!

  • @tortythetortoise No I don't, sorry.

  • the solo is really cool when you put on 1.5x

  • @musclor5858 it looks like chaplin musics :)

  • When you were showing us the basic chords I was like psshh, I could do that.

But when you played the solo I was just .... WHAT.

  • ...great thing about youtube. Get a talented, generous Beatles fan like this and many people benefit.

  • I agree with logan. You nailed that solo John.

  • Dude you killed that solo

  • @loganb31 Thanks. :-)

  • Is it you singing? If it is, you sound a lot like Paul.

  • Is there anyway you can explain how to mimic the pace on the left hand throughout the main chords? Thanks in advance.

  • @wvnota Do you mean when or what beat to play the left hand octaves?

  • @pianojohn113 When. I got the notes but I can't get the rhythm right

  • @wvnota The LH should mimic the bass notes, which hit mostly on the beat. The RH responds with sort of syncopated rhythms, but that's because you're copying a guitar strum. If you play the low bass note first on beat 1, then play the other three bass notes on the next three beats, it's just a matter of coordinating it with the RH, which can take some practice.

  • @pianojohn113 Thanks for that. I'll try my best to get it right!

  • great job on the solo!

  • @paulstarr12 Thank you. :-)

  • I can't hear the sound of the video T_T

  • I remember on my other account when I asked you to do a video for this :D

  • piano John you are the greatest!!

  • @jsmoof21 Thanks. :-)

  • what sort of right hand excersise might you recomend to facilatate playing the solo eg how might someone just practice practiciing for the solo?

  • @plpeak Hmmm... I hadn't thought about that.. You might try playing just the melody notes with either one (or two) fingers when you're first learning it so that you're familiar with the melody itself. If you find it gets easier to play after that, add the other notes as shown on the video. If it doesn't, then you can always just play the solo using only one note.. it doesn't sound bad doing it that way either.

  • Hi john! I got the sheet of music for that song and just to say that the cord you call "almost a D " is a Dsus ( a c g ) anyway, good job its an othet great video from you!:)

  • @syltorix Yes, the upper G makes it work like a sus4 chord, but I look at it more as a D11 since there's an A and a C in the RH as well. It was just easier to say "almost a D," I guess. Glad you like the vid, thanks!

  • Thanks for having the time to always please the fans John, you never cease to impress. =P

  • @SimplyWright You're very welcome, SimplyWright, glad to do them for you.

  • Pianojohn you're a legend! can you please make a tutorial for When I'm 64?

  • @alrose456 Yes, I'll have that one up within the next few days. :-)

  • Listening to the first demo part, I was afraid it was going to be a boring song to play on the piano. But that piano solo has made me really want to learn to play it now!

  • @Phranz0r Once you get the chords down, and there aren't very many of them here, the song can be huge fun to play. And yes, the solo really tops it off nicely!

  • Pianojohn113 I love you so much thank you for posting these tutorials which makes the world a better place! I appreciate all of your uploads very much, especially the Beatles ones because they are my favorite band (in fact, I'm wearing an Abbey Road t-shirt right now).

  • @transcendentle Great! Glad you like them. I have my own Abbey Road t-shirt that I might wear for the next set. :-)

  • Awesome as always John, one of my faves from the white album cheers.

  • It's been a long time, now i'm, happy your back.

  • jon for the solo on the 2nd part. do you just add the F# and just do the same pattern?

  • @johntsunami Yes, that's the fullest-sounding way to do it. I added the F# just out of habit, even though I don't think I mentioned it on the video. Using the F# is not required, but it helps.

  • HE'S BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • very good my friend

  • @musclor5858 there's already a tutorial for the stranger ;)

  • He's back!

  • FINALLY :B

  • Thanks for the new uploads. I've been keeping a weather eye on your channel for some new ones as I knew you'd been working on them.

Good stuff. Thanks you so much!!

  • Yes! I LOVE this song! One of my personal favorites :D

  • Wow! Thanks! It's not SUPER difficult but at 4:14 when you reach down for the lower bass notes, that takes a lot of practice and accuracy. That's my biggest problem. I'll know what notes to play but often I'll hit a wrong one right next to it or sometimes I'll hit two at the same time. It's very frustrating. It feels like no matter HOW much I practice it I keep making that mistake every time I play it. Anyway, thanks again!

  • @trumpetmaster5505 Hey, no worries on the mistakes or difficulties with accuracy. I hit wrong notes ALL the time.. Very glad you liked it!

  • you are a god

  • Love this song! I was fiddling around with it just the other day, but this is much better than what I had, haha!

  • Starting again with a great song!!!!!

  • ur back! awesome!

  • I forgot I was subscribed to you!

  • Thank you!

  • YOUR BACK

  • oh my god he returns

  • glad to see you back, can't wait to learn this one :)
