  • @01sircharles Why am I rude???......... Because I like Elly May?

  • Still precious.

  • She would whip your sissy ass

  • Funniest part is when Miss Jane arrives,.,,,after that is priceless

  • This is one of the funniest episodes to me. Its realistic in some ways as far as how people who have never seen some things will mistake them for others...cement pond....croquet ball as an egg..etc..

  • The Beverly Hillbillies is one of my all-time favorite shows.

    Thanks for posting this.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • Being from Arkansas, I know people like this....and I love them for it.

  • LOL! Laughter from beginning to end thats for sure. Ms. Halfway is going to fit well in with these folks

  • Elly May never gets to old for taking people down.

  • Thanks for your upload

  • What's with the music?

  • I loved to take Elly May To the cement pond.So I can eat her out.!!!

  • @johnholmes313 GASP!

  • @johnholmes313 A RUDE punk kid is all you are. 13 huh? why post your I.Q. ?

  • I saw this when it came out and enjoyed it and still find it has great humor and a general high moral tone. Uprated.

  • i'm 17, and am loving this already.

    "we'll start ploughing tomorrow!"

    "but this is beverly hills!"

    "dirt is dirt"

    awesome.

  • Lol

  • Thank you!!! It is great to have the entire episodes without "parts". Love this show!

  • I have ellie mayes wrestling skills and the punk rock elegance of granny. Granny i dreamed of wearing those combat boots with a shotgun and a bottle of moonshine. Wub wub.

  • Donna Douglas is coming to our hometown in a couple of weeks this May. I am excited to meet her. Just maybe I can on that one day. idk.

  • @cello19661 I did that once and ended up with a permanent back injury. But it was worth it!

  • Why the crappy substitute theme song? I remember seeing some B.H. DVDs at a friend's house, and they had that BS theme song too.

  • Thanks for posting these! I was 7 yrs old when this piloted in 1962, Noone ever missed an episode! BH evolved from other "hits" that were on at the time, such as Andy Griffith, The Real McCoys and "skits" about southern folks on other shows. It was a huge hit in my hometown of Nashville. I was sad to see it go from TV but "country" had become mainstream by 1971 and there were, in fact, a lot of REAL hilbillies moving to Beverly Hills! The theme simply became "dated", not the writing or the cast!

And they would like to thank you folks for kindly dropping in.

You're all invited back next week to this locality,

To have a heap'n help'n of their hospitality.

F**k your copywrite. It belongs to all of us.......

  • @SurfingInARainbow1 It's a copyright issue. The episdoes themselves are in the public domain, but the theme song is still under license/copyright, and roylaties have to be paid each time the theme is used.

  • Thanks for posting this!!

  • ceeeement pond lmao

  • jed said "we'll commence to plowin tomorrow" hella funny

  • The scene between Jed and Miss Hathaway talking about Jethro being " An Eaton/Eatin' man, gets me very time!

  • "We're going out to shot us up a nice big fluffy sue-flay!" Classic!

  • The episode where Jethro goes to School and the one where he joins the Army when he does the 500 press up's are the best two.Still all

of them are brilliant comedy. Those writers knew their stuff outstanding.

Ellie May.....= FOX A shame they hid her under those dorky clothes........

  • Thanks for posting this..Really good show..

  • Mmm, I wonder how much their old house (00:37) would fetch, nowadays.

    Texas; probably about $10,000.oo psqm.

Not probably as much as Oprah's Parent's original house.

lovely vt., thanks for posting it.

    Cheers.

    from,

    del-boy.

  • Hello fellow BH fans, nice to see good chat about great comedy programmes.

If you have not seen "The Darlingbuds of May" yet I would reccomend this series to you,its has is a well written british comedy series and the actors fit the characters parts so well.

when they did the BH`s film with different actors it was not quite as enjoyable or thats how I felt about it.

Many thanks for posting these episodes Ian.

  • It's nice to see someone your age who appreciates the great old programs. Of course, there are a lot of good ones from that era (besides comedy), BH just happens to be one of the very best. You're a very nice person too. You impress me as a young person with high principles and moral value...a leader type not a follower, & that's a good thing.

  • WOW! I don't know if I can go without ANY tv. I also have never see a single episode of Sex in the City, the Family Guy and also the Simpsons, Will & Grace and most every current sitcom. Not worth my time. But I must watch cable news, food channel, HGTV, TV LAND and old movies (once in awhile). And I have to admit, I do watch American Idol but only when it is down to about 10 or so contestants.

  • Glad you are enjoying this era of comedy. It's so sad that the genre has evolved into what it is today...I am not entertained in the least by the same old sexually oriented themes of sitcom tv today. No one has any fresh, new creativity. It's boring!!!! I can watch any episode of BH, GA (or The Munsters) and laugh throughout. Just better writing by far.

  • Minnierv: You're right about that. I can watch any of those episodes and just laugh out loud all the way through, instead of just staring blankly at the TV screen watching today's comedies (with the exception of Seinfeld!)

  • Hi katie8753. I know what you mean about just staring blankly at the tv screen. Most of today's comedies are so boring and not in the least bit funny. If I try to watch one of them I usually can't get past the first few minutes before losing interest. Thank goodness for the remote control. Even the BH movie that came out a few years ago w/ Jim Varney as Jed just wasn't good.

  • That's true Minnierv. I saw that BH movie w/Jim Varney and it was pretty good, but you just can't re-do a classic, one of a kind series like these old series. Buddy Ebsen, Irene Ryan, Donna Douglas & Max Baer were a perfect fit back in the 60's!! "You have a beautiful stove Granny. Thanks, now get it out of the truck". LOL

  • Definitely the best cast ever. And you know there are a lot of old sit coms that I wish TV Land would bring back. I am only a year younger than you so I know you probably remember: Hazel, The Life Of Riley, Gidget, December Bride, and How To Marry A Millionaire. You can probably come up with a few more. My brain is tired of thinking, its been a long busy day. lol.

  • Yes I remember all those old classics. I grew up watching Father Knows Best & Leave It To Beaver, and I actually thought that when I had kids, it would be like that! That's how innocent it was back then. Remember Grindl, My Favorite Martian, Courtship of Eddie's Father, My World & Welcome To It? The 50's & 60's were the best!!

  • Yes, life was so innocent back then. I don't remember Grindl or My World & Welcome To It. I haven't even heard of them. But I did think of another oldie. Remember Queen For A Day? I always wanted my mom to be a contestant on that program. hahahahaha!

  • Oh Queen For A Day!! My sister and I spent hours dressing up in my mother's clothes vying with each other for Queen For A Day. I don't rememeber how we settled who actually won, but we each got to win over and over!! LOL

  • That's funny! Oh well, I guess unless some of these great old programs are ever brought back, all we'll ever have are our memories of them. So sad that our kids and their kids will never see them. But at least they can see The Beverly Hillbillies!

  • Great, clean, TV show, one of the best. They should never have canned this show for Archie Bunker in 1970, booo to CBS. Thanks for this great upload..love it, please post more:-)

  • I downloaded it to my hard drive and it plays great, the lip sync is not a biggie. This is the first time I've seen some of these despite my age, and this is very convenient. Thank you for uploading these, ianhawdon.

  • Make-up on Granny and Jed was softened after the first few episodes. Also the accents were eases off a bit too. This also is the only episode that mentions Elly's Mother.

  • Without a doubt, the funniest show ever in the history of television. Thought it was funny as a kid but didn't really appreciate the genius writing until I was an adult. The creation of Jethreen (sp ?) was incredible. What a cast...perfection! My second favorite of all time is Green Acres.

  • Hey--what's with that "closing theme"???

What--did corporate lawyers refuse to pay the proper royalties to the proper ARTISTS???

  • That was the original closing theme.

  • the sound is off.......ruins the whole thing.

  • this vid played fine on my pc...but I thought the maximum to play on youtube was 10 minutes on 100mb?

  • I was hoping to find this episode, thanks for uploading it! I love the first few with beautiful Elly Mae (Donna Douglas) acting like a wildcat. She and her father Jed have some tender moments in this one.

  • Whats the story with the theme music? It just don't seem right without the Flatt & Scruggs tune playing... don't tell me - lawyers were involved right???

  • This was the original theme. Their names are shown in the credits at the end. The theme we are most familiar with didn't come until later. I'm not sure which season though.

  • Was this the original theme??

  • more!

  • The old episodes are just priceless. Will you upload some more ??

  • This video messes up halfway through playing.

  • Where abouts? It seems to play here just fine! Next time I may shift the sound backwards to the lip sync is right. Maybe there may have been an error downloading to your PC, i dont know what kind of error checking system youtube has. Try clearing your cache and see if it works then.

  • It stops for me at 15 min. and 57 seconds into the video, even though the whole video has been downloaded (the play bar thing is all red). The video automatically stops at that point and even though the rest of the bar is red, I attempt to fast forward by moving the gray circle and it won't let me.

  • sounds like a download problem, more of a youtube internal error then a video error (it still plays fine here!)
