  • sigh...

  • Albert Einstein said "I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones."

  • Incredible Look Back Upon The Absolute Seemingly Ungodliness Of Yesteryear! I Know All Those Wars Just Bring Me To A Complete State Of Unknowing When I Look More Closely Upon Them. NICE work RayT!

  • awesome video, a disturbing visual document of a senseless atrocity. Very appropriate music. s,-

  • Very well produced!

    5 from me!

  • Very Nice Ray, Everyone of them a hero.

Man ,when that guy got dropped before he made it out of the trench brought a tear to my eye. Its so easy for those who know they won't have to fight to start a war.

    Thanks Bro,,,,,5*****

  • Oh my gosh, Ray! You just broke my heart! Why do you make me cry so early in the morning? The innocent ignorance of these recruits. Reminds me of Wilfrid Owen's Disabled. I used to teach and when I saw the recruiters dropping by in the high schools to tell the kids how wonderful joining the Marines etc was, I just got so angry. The real life of war! So hard, so sad. I'm sitting around waiting for some of my young friends to return from Afghanistan. Sad. And the music in the vid breaks the heart.

  • So sorry Carole, didn't mean to upset anyone...

It's the sound of lost hope lost, despair..

Hope you see your friends really soon (O :]

  • LETS (((( GIVE PEACE A CHANCE ))))

  • Ditto that Marc...

  • Very grim war is. My dad served in WWll in Marines. Fine man he was. But he never got over what war did to him. Good video Ray.

  • I don't think anybody who was in a war ever would forget it...

  • Very strong and dramatic video..!

(War..Grim truth..Unbearably..Is there just a little hope of ever escaping it..??).

    Thanks for sending..

    Respect.

  • Thank you Jasena..

I do like to put a 'thinking' vid up now and again..

    I'm afraid to say, I doubt if war will ever end....\0 ;

  • wow. thanks for this.. i did a abstract painting about this a while back... about my grandfather ( polish) he was in the 2nd world war , saw some awfull things.. the 8th army. where you get this footage from.

  • Have you still got that painting Rimind.?

If so, try making a vid of it, would be good to see...

I wouldn't like to go though what our forebears went through...!

The footage was shot from the TV..

  • "an inevitability of fete." Great editing. I think it deserves 5 stars, Ray. Good Job.

  • If it's a 5 from you then I am well pleased (O ']

  • don't get me wrong Ray

but followers of deceivers get really hurt

    luv ya Ray

  • They always do Steve...!

  • My Grandfather served in WW I, he told me once..."there was nowhere to go, it was like waiting to die". He survived the war, and died in 1979. His son (my uncle) was shot by a sniper in WW II. My father served as a Nike missile launcher during the cold war in the 1950's, he never saw action though.

    War sucks!

    64m >:-)

Btw...thank you Ray, for your service in the R.A.F.

  • I think my great great granddad was in the Sudan, then Grandad in the Great War and me dad in the 2nd WW (RAF armourer). Me buver (RAF copper) and me a fireman..

  • My brother and I were too young for Vietnam and too old for the Gulf wars. I guess we just lucked out, and broke a long family tradition ;)

Sometimes I look at my kids and wonder.

Cheers to the Turner family service!

    Thank you.

    64m >:-)

  • Hopefully they will 'luck out' too..

My family were going to emigrate to Australia in the early '50s. If we had shipped over, I would be just the right age to fight in the Vietnam war....!!!!

Bloody happy we stayed in dear ol' England..

  • Bloody happy you stayed in dear ol' England too :)

  • Thanks for the grim reminder of our fatalistic follies.

The brotherhood of man cursed with an intense sibling rivalry.

    When will we grow up???

  • I doubt if we will John.......Ever...!

  • Want to put an end to this war? Attack the lunch wagon. They will be on their knees in surrender for a Hoagie! :)

  • Someone once said that an army marches on its Hoagies.....

  • nice one histrory

  • Bad history oio...!

  • never could and never will understand war....

I just live in hope of world peace...
