"You shut the hell up. I'll make it." "Not unless you keep your eyes on the road, sugar pie." "WATCH IT!!" "Boy this is greaaaat, just like being in a body movie, heh heh heh." "SHUT UP!!" Lmao. Best. Dialogue. Ever.
Dwight narrarates that at any second Gail could give Miho the order to kill him. Then Gail remarks about how she forgot Dwight could be so fast. Dwight and Gail end up making out then Miho cuts up all of the bodies so they will fit in the trunk of Dwight's car.
tell me how do u breath with no air lmao srry idk y i did that but any whom i think those are irish actsents and uhhh dam his shoes lmaooo srry bordom kills
I like this film, but I've always been amused by the fact that a bullet from a high powered rifle can't go through a badge, but a bullet from Dwight's pistol will go completely through Jackie's head and kill the merc on the other side. You'd think they could come up with something a bit more plausible...
Actually, that all stems from Frank Miller. The entire concept of Sin City is that it's realistic and exagerated at the same time. Sin City is what a major city would become if everything went to shit. He distances himself from this by making characters like Miho and Marv, who can miraculously bend the laws of phisycs. Also, Frank Miller is a brilliant visonary. He would choose something that looked good over something realistic any day.
Yeah, Rahh, you are right. A lot of this is Miller. BUT, if you've ever seen movies like Once Upon a Time in Mexico, Rodriguez also has an affinity for defying gravity. Very over-the-top. And the actress who plays Gail is Rosario Dawson :)
It was a GREAT choice of director for this movie. Frank Miller decided, after Robocop 2 and 3 bombed, that he would never again allow Hollywood to make his films. Miller was on the set of Sin City from start to finish. Everything that Rodriguez did, he had to ok it with Miller. The scene where Miho attacked Jackie-Boy's car, however, was directed by Quentin Tarantino.
As Rodgriguez put it, "I wanted to make a translation of Sin City, not an adaptation." He wanted to make sure it was FRANK MILLER'S City. And I thought it was amazing. I knew it would be, even though I had no idea what Sin City was until this film. For GOD'S SAKE, when are the sequels coming out? Too bad Miller seems too busy with The Spirit, which to me looks kind of weak.
He did make a translation of Sin City. He just needed Miller's ok with everything before he did it. This was a great movie, but this is also because the comics are even better. The translation was actually surprisingly accurate. I could count the number of differances on one hand. The stories that Sin City two is based on are actually pretty lame, at least the ones that I read. By the way, I had no idea what Sin City was before either.
Damn, if you'd let it play just a bit longer you woulda got my fave line in - "Little Miho, you're an angel, you're a saint, you're Mother Teresa, you're Elvis. You're God. And if you'd gotten here about ten minutes sooner, we'd still have Jackie-Boy's head."
Ok firstly I've never seen Sin City, my computer was acting up so I accidently stumbled on this, but having seen the trailer for it I'm gonna say this to all of you...you's are aware Jessica Alba is on this right? Oh and Halle Berry ain't that hot...but seriosly Jessica Alba ok.

The dialogue in this scene is so, so good. The scene in its entirety is made all the better by the use of the alternating colors. Such an epic scene.

Yeah, but....this IS Robert Rodriguez we're talking about here; the violence in his movies is always so cheesy and overblown. But hell, I love it.
