  • I love it !!!!!!!!

  • shine . i love you.diana.

  • They don't make songs like this anymore...

  • Such soulful appeal to her voice. Like youre floating on a rainbow. She has such sparkle to her voice.

  • Such a pure voice. Pure raw talent doesn't blossom like that anymore

  • Nicee Song

  • Oh how I loved and still love this song

  • @huntersingle, you ignant foo, Bass has nothing to do with this classic song, you are simply an inbred imbecile, and probably married your toothless sister.

  • there is not alot of bass in this song. your just in a small basement or a small trailer

  • .....takes me back to Spain. The first time I heard it. Wow. March thru August, Sherri -Bell and I were riding my Honda 550-4 all over Andalucia. We were both only 21

  • For the very last time to all of you who call or have accepted this thing called "Rap-Crap" music are just riding this tide of Trend and Money, the creation by a few nobody and have blown it to hell over water by Goons, Gangs, Criminals, Thugs, etc. and made it mainstream is the biggest robbery in our Musical Culture, wake up America please bring back: The Blues, Jazz, R&B, Soul, Funk and the rest of all great American Music. Talking and Talking from start to end is not music period. Rap is Crap

  • @MrToits My words exactly. BTW....Check out the song the by the O'Jays "Message in our Music". Some of these rap "artists" should listen to music like this and maybe learn what musicianship and talent really mean.

  • The songs of the 60's, 70's 80's were magical when music was a song, when songs touched the morning dew, when songwriters wrote beautiful, classical songs. Werent those born those years lucky enough to live with beautiful music!!!!

  • YES PLEASE !!!

  • As a child in so much turmoil, it was this song that made it all go away. A simply great lady and a great tune. I tried to bring those feelings out in my book called Angel Boy published through EXLIBRIS. Listen to tunes like this when you enjoy my story. David Muecke

  • This is such a strong love song..how many of us have felt this way..love her music...

  • Boy does this song bring back great memories. I had just met the love of my life and this was her favorite song. A few yrs later we were married and this remained one of our most cherished memories. She passed away nearly 11 yrs ago so when I came across this by chance it was fantastic. I miss her so much.

  • @garyandjane73 Very sorry for your loss. Sounds like you had a wonderful relationship - hopefully, your memories of her will give you some peace, it's very hard. Will keep it in prayer, she's smiling at you!

  • when i was a child this was one of my favorite song from Diana Ross..never knew I was singing what I later on in life would live.

  • What people don't understand is that there is no best era in music, its just that you miss being young. I'm 19 and every 70's 80's 90's 50's song I listen to I see the exact same top comments There is plenty good music to listen to now. I hope I never stop appreciating new music or any music when I grow older and you shouldn't either.

You can always inbox me and I'll recommend some nice music for you guys.

Don't be afraid to try something new you guys.

  • @do0wop you are so wrong. im 62, love music, bought up in london, 50s 60s 70s and 80s was music and no matter how i try modern music does nothing for me. i emigrated to jamaica in 94 and every piece of crap from mavado and vibes cartell is belted out all day. you might call this music but mature people who know about music could never appreciate it. sonny, your too young to make any sensible comments on decades music.

  • @do0wop Go listen to your Jason BEEBERT,M&M,and Little JAYNE.You are SO wrong with your comment that you should be ashamed of yourself FOO!!!This and ALL the old music was REAL Talent without the help from AUTOTUNE...Now go away and Pull Your pants up you JACKASS!!!!

  • @do0wop i agreed with your comment about music being trans-generational,,, I love all types of music!! I can go from Barbra Streisand, to Kenny Rogers to Eminem to Madonna to Michael Jackson and Connie Frances,,, It's musics and if I like it, I will listen to it,, applause to you for your comment!!

  • You are very artistic and creative. I have watched several of your videos. Excellent choice in music and fantastic presentations. Kudos. Two Thumbs Up. 5 Stars!

  • Thank God for my mother introducing me to this kind of wonderfulness

  • Song soo good....cant stop from a tear swelling...

  • I still love this classic tune, i no longer have tomorrows.....still have my memories :)

  • i love the song,, very much... can't go back to the past.. if only i can,, i will go back and find my true love... it was the biggest mistake in my life,, to marry the man,, he dont have a backbone,, so sad, very very sad.... until now.. i am still longing to see and be with the man of my dreams.. maybe i could be with my man,, in the other life. world.... i am so lonely..

  • i love this song.its sooooo well written,not a single flaw,perfect

  • @JaimeMusiqueItalien I LOVE THAT LINE!!

  • Diana hit #1 in Billboard, 8-18-73. God bless ya, sister Diana. Hugs to ya, my dear.

  • Too many yesterdays and not enough tomorrows. If I have to be strong yet again at least have the decency to get it over with this time because wasn't it me that said nothing good lasts forever? You disagreed but here we are again . So leave me as you as found me ... ah but you can't really can you because I was in a good place for the first time in my life but you weren't and all you have done is drag me down with you and destroyed not only my life but another child of yours. but we are so ok x

  • If only life was so simple that we could all live for today without worrying about tomorrow - wonderful song and singer

  • this song brings back happy and painful memories of my frist love. can you really stop loving them . mine was taken away and she never return. boy talk about unfinished story

  • what I wouldnt do to go back to the 70s and 80s my life is half way and I miss all the good songs the music of today I CANT EVEN UNDERSTAND .

  • Pierre Bellemare...XoX

  • I've said it before and I'll say it again; I wish they were still making songs like this, just as I wish I could tell the person whom this song makes me think of that I miss her and wish her only the best.

  • loves you babe.....................my mick ♥

  • But I caN'T watch love die in the warm of the night

  • mamdymingmongxxxxx luvs ya,noone knows wot this means x

  • Last night a loving man broke my heart. He was not ready for a LTR and I needed a LTR. He made wild and passionate love to me all night. I cried in his arms and he was sensitive and loving. I will always love him. How can I not always care for a man who when he finally came clean to tell me how he felt, was so loving and caring. I hope he finds everything that he wants.

  • @bdunnify what is a LTR?

  • @mspooshe

    LTR means Long Term Relationship.

  • Beautiful.

  • I love the imagery used in this video - the words to the song are sad but the pictures leave you with a sense of hope:)

  • I would listen to this on WLPL or WCAO in Baltimore and sit in my room missing the San Francisco Bay area and KFRC 610 AM with Dr. Don Rose in the morning. :-)

  • ganda ng music video mo. i like it...this is one of my fav. song :)

  • it seems amazing how 2 weeks as a fifteen year old can be so long and when your 53, an entire lifetime seems so short...

  • @MrBuckwilliam you are so right bro. I try to explain this to my kids so that they do not waste even one minute of this short ride that is life. Well said!!

  • @MrBuckwilliam ...........OMG, you are so right! When I was young time seemed to stand still! Now that I'm 53 too, it's about "Where has time gone"? Music stirs the soul , no matter what age! Thank you for that quote!

  • @MrBuckwilliam And if I knew I'd be here to respond to your post this late in the life, I'd have taken better care of myself. All the old sayings are true......

  • mmm, still a favorite after all these years. thank you for sharing :)

  • @MrBuckwilliam agreed

  • Estimated friend, if you want to listen again this song and an endless number of successes of the love I suggest you to visit Radio MUSICA PARA MIMOS - looks for his direction URL in Google ( search Musica para Mimos in Google)-. best romantic music of all the times in Internet, is great, is very good ...!!!

  • How to forget the 70's?

70's means wonderful,&beautiful music that transport us to other galaxie.

    70's for ever!!!!!!

  • This is such a beautiful, yet a sad song.. I love it..

  • I remember when I was little my mom would put on her record player and play Diana's records. Good times.

  • So good. So meaningful. Means a lot more to me now as than back in 1973. It was only a few years ago when i realised the song was about being attentive to a womans intimacy needs.

  • LOVE11111111 PRECIOUS LOVE!!!!!

  • me three

  • TSA song?

  • 5 were not touched in the morning

  • That is a song. Diana Ross x!

  • Than you so much for sharing this beautiful song and video although it has brought back so many unhappy and sad memories of my childhood days....

  • Oh thank you Diana, I looove you when I was 12, 13, 15, I still love now, you were my idol back then and to hear you now is such a pleasure, thank you for this wonderful song. I had the opportunity to see you live, wow I was so exited, tysvm

  • Another songs that touches me deeply.Truly heartwarming.Has become one of my favorites, for years.

  • Great memories!! Thank you for posting!!

  • lazy days...dreaming about love.

  • Ok. Its time for someone to....... Touch ME In the Morning !

  • the musical arrangement is world class. check out the understated piano in the beginning. then the great bass guitar riff comes later. listen for the violins in the background. then the horns come in. a little chirping of the lead guitar comes in and out. at the perfect time you hear a few dings on the triangle. jesus. the song would be nothing if not for the musical arrangement. those guys at motown were geniuses.

  • The only thing that touches me in the morning is morning wood. :(

  • Dear God, does this bring back memories. I broke up with the love of my life because I was a workaholic;my only relief was Disco dancing. We actually broke up on the dance floor...and then this song came on...bittersweet. I truly try to understand today's music;but there is no meaning to it. I now search for these classics-they had meaning then and hold up now. I am encouraged that teens and twenties are finding them and agreeing with me.

  • @DiscoBlair I truly agree with you :) I'm 15 years old and loving these songs :D

  • @DiscoBlair im 23 and agree with you all the way...oldies rock

  • diana ross truly blessed us with her talent. i love her smash hit mahogany. she is tops of my list of the best female singers of all time. peace to all

  • this song is so sad... i feel like the meaning is on the cards for me somehow...

  • Lovely song (and video presentation)

    :)

  • I love this song. Short and sweet.

Actually this song describes exactly a girlfriend I had some years ago - and exactly how we broke up. And you know, though it is small consolation to her, I still miss her, even after many years have gone by. So when I hear this, almost invariably, a tear comes to my eye. I am sorry, I didn't know. Wherever you are, I hope you are happy.

  • @MichiganChet diana could always bring out such emotion in her songs. what she lacked in power she made uo for in story telling...and that's how they wrote for diana. her songs told stories. berry has said this is what they tried to do with her music. many people can relate to her songs. and she has a song for every occassion.

  • @MichiganChet

You know, I had a girlfriend like that too. She was young and wanted more of life; I wanted to ask her to marry me. She loved me, but wasn't ready to settle down. My first real love. I still think about her and this song reminds me of her too. We're both married to other people now, but it was a special time that I'll never forget.

  • 1973 was 37 years ago already? Damn!

  • a beautiful song - reminds me of my first boyfriend :-)

  • memories of a happy & carefree time. Just been transported back,,,,,,,,,,,

  • Baby, someday you touch me every morning, everywhere ... always!!!

  • Bebé: some day... this is a reality...soon! Sshh quedito!!!

  • The 70's were by far the best decade of my life. I was a kid and carefree. No other decade's music can hold a candle to the 70's and I mean that for all types of music: pop, classic rock, r & b, etc. Back then we had true artists and amazing bands. Since then we've had crap. :)

  • How this song brings back better times~~makes me sad~~~for our children and the music they have to tolerate these days..

  • to proudhawkeye....I was a drug addict for 23 years until I was arrested and my 14 month old baby was taken by CPS. I fought for my baby and have been clean for 9 years/ My baby is now 9. Your auntie Rachel loved you as much as I loved my own daughter. You are right to honor her and she would be proud of you! XXX

  • @michellesanjose , your comments brought tears to my eyes, my mom at 60 yrs is now hooked on whatever pills get her high, I have one brother and five sisters, unfortunately because my mom was never there for them and my grandmother could only do so much to guide them, my sister's ended up marrying pieces of shit and now there are living shitty lives!! I am a college graduate with a Master' Degree but I did everything I could to help my brother and sisters out but I was to straight/square

  • @proudhawkeye.. i am so proud of you and what you have achieved in life and for your siblings. I have had also very sad experiences with my mom. She's now 75 but not an ounce of remorse or regret on her part. I vowed to myself that i would never be like her and would never do the things she did to me to my children. Like you, i didnt let it ruin my life and struggled to where i am now. Please dont lose hope. Have faith and the trust in the Lord. May God bless you more and your siblings !

  • I love her.

  • This song just takes me right back to the1970s. Ahhh, what a great time! And now, at almost 50 years old, the lyrics "hey wasn't it yesterday. . . " really hit home.

  • Superb ........... brings back memories

  • Excelent Sound And Video Quality, Thank You For Taking The Time To Post The Lyrics... Superb Job, Again, Thank You For Sharing...

  • I'm 14 years old & I feel inspired by this song.

    Beautiful, beautiful song.

  • Sharon...didn't we take each other to place that where no one's ever been?

  • Never really lostened to the words until tonight with the words printed out here. This has always been one of my favorite songs by Diana. I can say that I have been here before. Thanks so much for posting this song!

  • Never really lostened to the words until tonight with the words printed out here. This has always been one of my favorite songs by Diana. I can say that I have been here before. Thanks so much for posting this song!

  • Stunning viuals, great choreograpie,a touching song by a world class artist, a magnificent video. Congratulations!

  • This is a cruel song, I understand the girl sees the relationship has reached its peak and then, as a logical result, it's just about going down as far as it will go or else...: "We've seen how love can grow, now we'll see how it dies." It's chilling, she decided to finish it up at once. I hadn't even been born when this song came out, and I'd never payed it enough attention, maybe I'm getting old, haha!

  • @MechaGojira00 No I don't think it's chilling. The singer is just taking control of her sexuality. She doesn't seem upset by the end it, therefore it must be a casual thing, I'm saying she's taking control sexuality as opposed to the relationship. Remembering that this was released in 1973, the era of Germaine Greer's The Female Eunuch. I think it's actually quite a feminist song.

  • Well said. This song literally transcends time.

  • Gives me a chill..then takes me back to 1973.One of her best!

  • It gives me chills too, I was around 6 or 7 when this came out. I loved it back then and I still do!

  • @centurion1479 doesnt it thou? I can close my eyes and go back to that time! I love it!

  • funnily enough it reminds me of an old mate dave, he had the bottle to say it was a fantastic song....not bad taste for an eleven year old..

  • So true ryoushii,so very true.Mine was paul,my first real love, and I sometimes think my only real love.30 years later,I still miss him.

  • This song reminds me of my beautiful Aunt Rachel who died in December of 2007 at 60 yrs old, more importantly it take me back to the summer of 1973 when I was go to her house to hang out with my cousins and I was a young pup of 9 yrs old. That summer seemed to last forever. My aunt back then was more like a mom to me because my own my was too busy doing her drugs to care about me, my brother and three sisters.

Thank You Aunt Rachel for everything that you and my uncle Gilbert did for me.

  • @proudhawkeye I think everyone who had a shit upbringing was blessed with an Angel, mine was Aunt Bridget, she could scare the pants off of marines but so gentle underneath

  • @proudhawkeye around the time when Diana Ross recorded this song, and around the time you were spending time at your Aunt Rachel's place, MARY WILSON, the last original member of THE SUPREMES, was revamping the group with the return of CINDY BIRDSONG and new lead singer SCHERRIE PAYNE. :)

  • @proudhawkeye how lovely to have those sweet memories

  • @proudhawkeye may god bless ur aunt with Heaven

  • @proudhawkeye I am sorry you had to go through those unsavory memories of ur mom,but please try to forgive her; for the drug use did not define her,im sure. She was loving enuf to have u,right? Perhaps its up to u to reflect on that and move on. "More love to u and ur aunt Rachel, whom was probably better equipped from jumpstreet to acknowledge ur youth. P.S. I dont fall short of ur demise, sweetheart.

  • @proudhawkeye I wished it was 1972 again for you too! Be Well!

  • @proudhawkeye sorry to hear about your aunt, I had some endless summers in the early 70s too.

  • @proudhawkeye cool that takes me back to similiar memories.
