Here's some new ideas:
~Kangaskid (prevolution of Kangaskhan), males will evolve into Kangasking.
~Antelopes, geese, warthogs, swans, koalas, and a few more haven't been done yet.
~As for legendaries, they have still yet to do all the types. Fighting, Poison, and Bug legends have still yet to be done. A synthetic Poison legend and a Prehistoric Bug legend sound rather cool if you think about it.
Wouldnt it be cool if next pokemon had skydiving? With good music and make it actually be cool instead of landing back to where you were and then talking to some random person and leaving

Pokemon is designed to give the player as much freedom as possible, therefore it has little to no story for you to follow. I was thinking that if they made a few mild gameplay adjustments and put in a good story that doesn't detract form the freedom element, they'd have an instant classic.
I also think that they should use a darker element to appeal to Pokemon's true fan base- people who grew up with the games and don't care about its childish reputation. Nintendo would do well to appeal to more hardcore gamers.
pokemon is only based as a childs game due to the show, it has a HUGE hardcore audiance, u just dont go online like all the hardcore pkmn gamers(i know that sounds pathetic but trust me)
What do you suggest? A Zelda-like game game with a Syther? A Final Fight clone starring Blaziken? A FPS where you "catch em all" with a automatic pokeball blaster? A game made for little children is not really a bad thing. Requests like that may eventually lead to Pokemon going the way of Conker the Squirrel. Most kiddie games are better than most "adult and hardcore" games anyways.
Actually, I'm writing something fairly interesting; take the original format, and put a more interesting story to it. A story that leaves you thinking and interested about it.
Oh! I get it. As long as Pokemon doesn't try to compete with games like Grand Theft Auto and Manhunt (Which would be stupid, the series out does even Final Fantasy) in terms of "adult" themes, it's cool for it to have a better plot.
I simply dislike this idea of making a good kid's series more adult. It may have worked for Zelda, but most fan would have seen that one coming. Pokemon being more mature to me may make Pokemon more disturbing than cute like it usually is. But that's just me.
I think it would just be better with a more intelligent story. I wouldn't make Pokemon seem any less cute, but being able to explore some of the great stories that the Pokemon universe could frame beautifully and get away form it's terribly cliched "foil Team -'s evil plan while beating the Elite Four" would be great.

The problem with having all of the regions in a single game is that the game would take forever to finish and I don't think they could store that much data on one tiny little chip. at least not without a very large and very cumbersome expansion pack. It just wouldn't work.

Well, he is labeled as a disaster pokemon. But if I remember well, they appear to warn humans of disaster so they can take shelter. They do not cause disaters. A pokemon that cause disasters is actually Gyarados, which (according to the pokedex) can cause Tidal waves to destroy entires cities.

Life is either Mew, the spirit of life, or Deoxys, the embodiment of life.
Death is likely Giratina, but possibly Mewtwo, the reverse copy of Mew.

Is Arceus actually being traded across the Internet yet? I'm about ready to put one up just for something simple, just to see it get traded. The AR can clone Pokemon after all. I'm serious. This amuses me, though, there's still plenty of ideas left if they stop thinking so linearly. A pokemon game where you can actually play as a bad guy *_* A couple branches for story lines instead of one. A plot where your rival is a bad guy, not just a jerk.
An actual plot would be so nice~♥

I don't think Colosseum really counts. You're double crossing them at the very start of the game, not a newbie trainer that decides to pull a heel-face turn and go evil. Hehe.

Yeah, that's what I thought too with the whole "...eh..." thing. It's not extreme enough because technically you're still fighting for good. I mean, it'd be so cool for you to be on the otherside of the battle field - across from Ash & Company, Jimmy & Company, and whatever other filler-like Pokemon people you can think of. XD

Yesss. I think that if you combined the following elements into a pokemon game, you'd have win:
The ability to turn evil.
The ability to travel all the other regions, or at least johto and kanto. (Naw, can't tell I'm a crystal fangirl, can you?)
A plot that's a little darker in general.
And a memorable rival (like G/S/C, not r/s/e's who I can't even remember).
Of course I'm probably missing something, but those would be a good start.
In Colosseum you catch opponents' pokemon. :3 That's why.

the ability to turn evil would be awsome yet not so viable i mean a game that 5 year olds (my age when i got pokemon yellow) play can have a main storyline in wich you can turn evil plus imagine the possibilities of evil pokemon combined with the fact that you are not a stupid grunt and you have a brain so you can enter a store and say "hands up give me the money or i will kill you with my charmander´s flamethrower" the pokemon manga has a darker atmosphere and people and pokemon die there

Pokemon is designed to give the player as much freedom as possible, therefore it has little to no story for you to follow. I was thinking that if they made a few mild gameplay adjustments and put in a good story that doesn't detract form the freedom element, they'd have an instant classic.

I also think that they should use a darker element to appeal to Pokemon's true fan base- people who grew up with the games and don't care about its childish reputation. Nintendo would do well to appeal to more hardcore gamers.

pokemon is only based as a childs game due to the show, it has a HUGE hardcore audiance, u just dont go online like all the hardcore pkmn gamers(i know that sounds pathetic but trust me)

What do you suggest? A Zelda-like game game with a Syther? A Final Fight clone starring Blaziken? A FPS where you "catch em all" with a automatic pokeball blaster? A game made for little children is not really a bad thing. Requests like that may eventually lead to Pokemon going the way of Conker the Squirrel. Most kiddie games are better than most "adult and hardcore" games anyways.

Oh! I get it. As long as Pokemon doesn't try to compete with games like Grand Theft Auto and Manhunt (Which would be stupid, the series out does even Final Fantasy) in terms of "adult" themes, it's cool for it to have a better plot.
I simply dislike this idea of making a good kid's series more adult. It may have worked for Zelda, but most fan would have seen that one coming. Pokemon being more mature to me may make Pokemon more disturbing than cute like it usually is. But that's just me.

I think it would just be better with a more intelligent story. I wouldn't make Pokemon seem any less cute, but being able to explore some of the great stories that the Pokemon universe could frame beautifully and get away form it's terribly cliched "foil Team -'s evil plan while beating the Elite Four" would be great.

If you happen to know of Deviantart, go to joshD1000's page, he is basically redesigning the first 150 pokemon realistically, even giving them "bios", and is recreating most of the lore too.
If they were to make a game out of THAT, it would be the best Pokemon ever.

The problem with having all of the regions in a single game is that the game would take forever to finish and I don't think they could store that much data on one tiny little chip. at least not without a very large and very cumbersome expansion pack. It just wouldn't work.

im thinkin maybe more sci-fi legendaries like Mewtwo or Deoxys. maybe MewThree. also there is still seasons. plus darkness and light havent been done yet. (maybe a new Light type?) plus maybe leaders for the legendary trios. (the regis have regigigas, but what about Entei, Rakiou, Suicune, Moltres, Zapdos, and Articuno?) plus a "new Mew" like Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, and Manaphy. when you stop and think, there are still alot of possibilities.

I got to meet a good majority of 4th generation Pokemon in Shadows of Almia (which was much harder to get through than the original Pokemon Ranger because I didn't know what Pokemon had what type and...for obvious reasons). When I met Togekiss and Porygon-Z on Quests... Togekiss looked like a flying omelet and Porygon-Z... As Link might say about Sheik being a girl, "Oh, no f*cking way." *drowning in laughter*

Well, he is labeled as a disaster pokemon. But if I remember well, they appear to warn humans of disaster so they can take shelter. They do not cause disaters. A pokemon that cause disasters is actually Gyarados, which (according to the pokedex) can cause Tidal waves to destroy entires cities.

Well,t there's always Pokemon Devil. No, that's not Giratina, Giratina is the third counterpart to Dialga and Palkia, like Rayquaza is to Kyogre and Groudon.
Arceus is called the Alpha Pokemon, so the devil would probably be the Omega Pokemon.
