All of the pitbulls that I have known/walked/played with have been incredibly sweet, gentle, wonderful dogs. They are powerful and therefore can be dangerous (as can any large dog), but only when they are trained to be that way or are abused and mistreated. Even then, most of the abused/neglected pitbulls I have played with at the shelter are STILL very sweet.
Killing off an entire breed will never be the solution to reducing dog attacks. Evaluating dogs individually the moment signs of aggression are present is really the best way. Lack of trainning/ socialization and any mistreatment done to a dog leads to aggression which leads to greater risks of that dog attacking. Also if the dog is not spayed/ neutered that can also play a factor. Once again breed has nothing to do with it.

Pitbulls are an exotic breed of k9 and as such should be kept in a locked cage. They can turn on anyone and anything (including their owners and handlers) and should be considered as dangerous as a pet cougar.

All of the pitbulls that I have known/walked/played with have been incredibly sweet, gentle, wonderful dogs. They are powerful and therefore can be dangerous (as can any large dog), but only when they are trained to be that way or are abused and mistreated. Even then, most of the abused/neglected pitbulls I have played with at the shelter are STILL very sweet.

Killing off an entire breed will never be the solution to reducing dog attacks. Evaluating dogs individually the moment signs of aggression are present is really the best way. Lack of trainning/ socialization and any mistreatment done to a dog leads to aggression which leads to greater risks of that dog attacking. Also if the dog is not spayed/ neutered that can also play a factor. Once again breed has nothing to do with it.

Pitbulls are an exotic breed of k9 and as such should be kept in a locked cage. They can turn on anyone and anything (including their owners and handlers) and should be considered as dangerous as a pet cougar.

While it is true APBT's are used as K9 police dogs (Schutzhund) these dogs are about as "exotic" as a hot dog or a baseball. They have been here for hundreds of years. They also need proper socialization which they most likely will not find "in a locked cage." You are extremely misinformed.

The vast majorities of these dogs are exceptionally people friendly and combined with their high tolerance for pain; they usually don't bite even when they are hurt by humans.
