  • well ur action is perfect buh unfortunately u dunt have a follow up .... like fast bowling u need 2 have a gud follow up in spin bowling as well there for make sure dat u go few steps forward after u deliver the ball ..... :)

  • to left handers release leg stump right hander off stump.

  • loop it up a bit more and pitch on the stump that is on the left.

about 1 metre from the batsmen; but on that line/.

  • people seem to forget when they slate these videos that being a leggie is a fucking hard job

  • one piece of advice...wear trousers

  • does the flipper have back or top spin on it? From this video, it looks like your bowling top spinners instead of the flipper (though I'm not an expert)

  • @TechnoManification 100% not the top spinner wrong wrist action for it to be.

  • Not bad. Yeah with your flipper you want to be clicking the ball out of the front of your fingers as you bring your hand down, that should help make it a bit flatter

  • 0:21 great bowl

  • need to bowl that flipper a bit flatter pal

  • Your bowling too short mate. nice flight and turn though!

  • What's your average and strike rate like?

  • omg if i was facing u your bowling would get punished so badly to pitched up back over you head drop it short come down the wicket to wide square cut or slog sweep depends what mood im in

  • @FrakCentral use grammar i can't understand a fucking word you're saying.

  • @andc95 That's how he must talk, at a million miles an hour. Or how I would imagine it lol.

  • This kid has got a really good action

  • you need a new camera man

  • looking good mate. keep it up :)

  • your wrong'un had good turn but it was bowled wayy too short. it was on the way down by the time it would of reached the batsman and it didnt have the flight dip or turn like your leggie did. and that flipper looked more like a toppie

  • not a bad effort, nice flight, dip and turn

  • nice flight!!!!

  • ur leggie also comes out of the back of the hand, btw, the flipper u bowl is more of a toppie which presents bounce over skid.

  • HOLY SHIT LOOK AT DAT WRONG-UN, that spun heaps

now im not saying he is a shit leggie but he does have sum problems like: wen he delivers the ball, he could be standing up a bit more and his flipper jus needs to skid more then bounce

  • 1:02..Smash that one

Nahh, you're bowlings good..Wish i could bowl a leggie like that..My googly is my stock delivery..lol

  • lovely drift i am also a leg spinner i am only 13 but i would like to know you bowl the wrong un you have a very good 1 thx

  • good wrongun there mate,

i'd have to agree with some of the other comments though, your flipper sort of looks like an arm ball.

  • when you bowl your googly your right arm almost touches your left ear on your follow through and you don't kick your leg up as much... a batsman wouldn't even need to watch out for those things, it just immediately looks like you're bowling your wrongun.

  • nice flipper, if you could get it to go a bit quicker and flatter, get it to skid on, you'd be taking many wickets mate. Keep it up :)

  • How old are you mate..........

You look young, you have bloody good control for your age and you can turn it both ways.

I have been bowling leggies for 20 years now and all i can tell you is keep spinning the ball and trying to improve, you will probably find you are at your best in your mid 30's....

keep having fun with it, you have chosen to do something most people can't do and don't have the patience for... Well done mate

  • You're not bowling flippers. Go back to the search field on you tube and type in Grimmett Flipper and there's 2 of the Flipper variations demonstrated by me.

  • Oh shut up, you're shit at bowling and just cause he may bowl it differently to you doesn't mean it's wrong. If it works for him then it can't be wrong...

  • @Killer0274

But he's not bowling a flipper you retard. you flick the flipper with ur thumb and get backspin and the result is a flat trajectory and skid. I doubt many kids would be able to bowl them since it requires great strength in the wrists. i remember benaud said kids shouldn't bowl them cos they mite cause serious injury to themselves

  • That's right, in fact most coaches these days don't even ask teenage spinners to try the flipper - they just want them to concentrate on their stock delivery, wrong uns and topspinners. Warne didn't get a handle on the flipper until his early 20s, and he has tremendously strong fingers and wrists (probably from intensive texting...)

  • im pretty surre that wasn't a flipper, being a legspinner I am pretty sure you spin it back by clicking your fingers together

  • no because if you kick your leg up then your body turns and rotates the same way as the ball allowing a cleaner seam and more drift after your follow through!

  • Some things you can do to improve your bowling are:

    1. Stand tall when you let go of the ball

    2. With your back leg (right leg) bring it straight through not around so that you are driving. (like a walking action)

    3. bring your left arm in hard!

  • 1 and 3 are good but dont lose the kick, that allows full follow through for maximum turn! Decent action though keep it up!

  • Actually, when you do bring your leg straight through it allows for a better follow through and more turn as it helps you also to stand tall.

  • from watching this vid, i saw 2 ways tht u cud improve ur action, the 1st is ur bowling arm for ur leg break is abit to high and also wen u bowl a leg break ur wrist postion is in the top spin direction i should b seeing the back of ur hand in a leg break if im standng behind you. hope this helps :)

  • good

  • he's not bad but im better

  • im a leg spinner where your feet are at the relased can be called a no-ball hence that it has happened to me before

  • do you now what a flipper is caz that int 1

  • u need to be more upright and spin the ball up

  • nothing special

  • Decent stuff, I'd say your flipper could do with some work it looks like you're simply bowling a top spinner, rolling your fingers and hand over the seam instead of clicking it out. As for run up the "data790" below talks gibberish, you run up however is comfortable for you, I "walk up" like you, I personally think you can get more control over your action from it. But that's good stuff. Less of the Eminem though, it's just not cricket.

  • It has taken me two years to finally get the ball close to the batsman. I found I was taking more wickets when I had a longer run up. Shane Warne has a slow run up but gets so much turn on the ball and power. My advice is: faster run up and check out Stuart McGill and his bowling action. Apart from that everything is going straight, the ball is turning and the variations are very good. Just for fun try adding an arm ball and bouncer to your kit bag. These variations keep the batsman guessing.

  • not bad tho decent leg break. wen u follow thru make sure u turn back an face the batsmen for a caught and bowled btw is that a 1st class cricket team ??

  • you need to try to drive through more. also slow down your action. not bad though.

  • Nice Bowling. Try coming a bit more round arm

  • thanks mate

yeah my action needs abit of work

if ura right arm bowler just get ur right leg to swing through

makes drift curve and dip alot nicer

  • Nice action... especially the follow through, that's one thing I've been looking to work on, still don't rotate fully...

  • iknow

    im getting betta

  • thats not a flipper?

  • shot dav 104 views nd 6 honors

  • sweet as chris

  • gud bowling, thanks for letting me edit/produce it.

  • you can have flighted flippers also, high drift that gives it extra straight bounce.

    cheers

  • @ripppaaa Flippers are meant to have less bounce to deceive the batsmen for lbw or bowled

  • Fuck your funny oi and shotties your not too bad =D

  • Good bowling, nice flight and drift. That was not a flipper but a ball bowled out of the back of the hand. A flipper is faster ball that does not have high flight and is bowled by clicking the ball between your thumb an middle finger. I sugest you watch some Terry Genner videos.

  • cheers

  • Camera Man

    Scott Ellis.

    Good video!!!

  • good bowling mate

  • swoot
