Yep, it's ol' Ovation. I have the lesser expensive Asian-made version. It was around $400. There is a %1500 made in America. I tried it out once but it didn't seem better than mine. Though I only played it for a few minutes.
This little mando sounds great amped... but it won't be what you want for bluegrass. It just doesn't have that sound.

Your progress is pretty good. I play a bit of mando but mostly strumming. I have a hard time recalling melodies.
