OK I think I get it. The story goes either two ways. One way, the guys are just messing up and the story of the guy teaching how to cycle is true, his way of fooling disoriented compatriots, and of course that silly thing is truned into a training camp by rumours. Or it can go the other way round, the camp rumour is true, and the guys are cooking up a story to keep their cover.
