  • Very nice snare..so accenting sound..Great for funk I suppose ^^

  • Best sounding snare I've heard in my life...

  • @FixieFixedGear email Bill at Pork Pie . . . he will tell you.

  • thank you for not making a boring snare demo. i'm tired of demos that make you wait 2 minutes before they play it in a normal context.

  • How much is this snare?

and would it have more crack (snap) than a 1mm steel shell 14x5 drum with 42 snares? (Morgan Rose Signiture Snare)

  • Nice! Very nice!

  • I have the the 13" x 7" ported Little Squealer snare in ebony satin with black hardware, easily my favorite snare every and goes great with my Pork Pie drum set! Go Pork Pie

  • @MrT3ShA Remo Emperor X

  • Very nice...grooves and snare. What is the purpose of the multiple vents? Is it to dry out the snare?

  • @XDrummerSteve It does dry it out a bit . . . sounds like it's already mic'd and compressed

  • I own one of these beauties, easily one of the best investments I've ever made for my kit. Awesome range.

  • @nomad3369 I agree . . . it really is one of the best sounding snare drums we have had at our store.

  • pretty awesome that the person demoing the drum can actually play

  • Man who is demo'ing all of these sick snares? He is insane! :)

  • Sounds great. Am I the only one that's hearing a Stewart Copeland-y sound with this tuning?

  • great sond :D

  • the snare sounds really awesome

  • sounds damn good!

  • This drum is crazy! Plus the drummer is killing!

  • where can you find one of these? the one on musicians friend is only a 16 ply

  • @alwayzsk8 Your right! Thank you. I checked with Bill at Pork Pie. He said they have 16 plies . . .earlier literature I have said 20. Thanks for pointing this out.

  • are these 2.3 hoops?

  • are those die-cast hoops?

  • @diegovercesi they are not

  • @diegovercesi They're clearly triple flanged hoops.

  • great drumming, great video, great snare. what camera was this recorded with?

  • @HatchetSwinginDrumma Thx. Canon HF20

  • do you still have any in stock

  • do you ship international?

  • How much?

  • @mateusxxx Call me at 1-866-374-5766 Erik

  • couldnt find any youtube videos besides theses ones of alphonso lovelace

  • Try FONZO SHED SESSION

  • I absolutely love this snare. But I have heard controversy on how it records. Is it too loud for studio?

  • @DEADMANSJOURNAL Also, how bad is the ringing?

  • @DEADMANSJOURNAL

well the ringing shouldnt be bad at all, since its vented, which makes it alot drier,

  • Holy ghost notes batman!

  • sweet demo!!! could you possibly do one on the acrylic snares?

  • Holy shit, he just ripped up the two piece. Now THATS a drummer. Also, Pork Pie wins.

  • hey is this the only place i can get one of these?

I have looked at gc and they dont have it

    thanks =)

  • So, with a 20 ply shell, it's got a pretty fat sound right? How would this compare to a pork pie black brass snare in terms of projection/volume?

  • @ptc5010 thicker shells are just more direct, immediate attack. thinner shells are more resonant, ringy, open sound. obviously they all make a difference in pitch. but when it comes to the overall dynamic of the drum... 50 people could buy the same snare, put different heads on it, and they'd all sound different. comparing metal to wood is apples to oranges. experiment and find what fits your needs,

  • @roatking Ah thank you, the vents though, those add a decent amount of projection right?

  • @ptc5010 yeah, they basically let the sound inside of the drum out as well as some air, so it's a bit more resonant. i've got a 5x13" tama snare that i added two 2" holes to with a hole saw on my drill. it gave it a totally different character.

  • @ptc5010 well the brass snares can be pretty fat but 20 ply is wayyy fatter

  • Dudeeee how did you get it to sounds like that i have that in black

  • I will do anything for this snare :o

    lol

  • 14x5

  • @cymbalfusion What type of wood is this?

  • 20 ply but what is the actual size of it like the dimensions?

  • I have this snare, and it is easily the best snare I have ever played in my life. Its a gorgeous sounding snare in any context or genre of music. Sounds great to play with funk grooves! Pork Pie are an awesome company and I wish they got more recognition that they do.

  • i wat one!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • @zeppelinman4232 Thank you ! ! ! Alphonzo Lovelace on drums . . . check out his other videos on YouTube

  • mmh that sounds nice!!
