lol I tried straight up fighting him with my BA character and got brutally raped... lol so i ran for my precious life and threw my lightsaber at him and then kept running and healing and throwing and repeating lol. The battle lasted like 30 minutes but CHAOS WAS THE VICTOR IN THE END!

God, Malak is freaking impossible, when I faced him, I was all out of health packs, I had no mines. He kicks my ass every time. I simply can't defeat him. It's impossible.

I use this tactic to beat Kriea in KOTOR 2.

I defeated him using those thermal grenades (or something like that). I found that if you throw these at him in a specific timing, he'll be completely stunned by the grenades, you just keep throwing them until he dies.

haha pure noob, it is way easy as light side guardian. lvl 20, it toke the time you need to run and kill or life drain the corps and then 2 runds pure easy

just using death field...it makes ur HP to go full....and by that..u lower the bodies so the chance of malak using them gets lower

Nihilus was an awesome opponent. I loved fighting him. BTW, I actually find him harder then Kreia. Nice strategy, but I'd rather take him head on.

I was able to beat him once out of 20 tries. During the one time, I died during the fucking cutscene at 5:24. Damn that was annoying. I had no negative effects (poison, etc...) affecting me. Do you know why this happened?

no i was lvl 20 its just i left taris at lvl 8 so i only had 12 levels to get powers,feats,etc

u should have a high treat injury skill on my guy in kotor 2 im lvl 21 jedi guardian and heal 123 with life support and like 70 with master heal and in kotor 1 lvl 7 soldier and lvl 17 jedi guardian can heal 90 with life support and like 45 with improved heal.

My personal favorite against bosses like this is Force Immunity, so you don't have to worry about his Force Powers that much anymore

this is funny cuz the first few times i tried to kill malak i got completely owned and about the 4th time after destroying the releasing the dead jedi i went onto the top level and accidentally got malak caught imbetween a capsol and the edge of the platform with force wave and i completely owned him by using force wave. It was incredibly BA!

here is a hint on how to kill malak(those who cry about him being imba)-do genohardan quests-some usefull items there -sell items only to rodian on yavin-best sell price-buy items on koriban and yavin-those who give constitution and strenght-u could aswell use baragvain sword in main hand-far better then some lightsaber which has weak crystals as sigil or dragons pearl-lets just say get good gear and thats it!!

I beat it in lightside and you CAN have attacking force powers

after Malak talks & attacks, pause game & go to your supplies & use shields, stims (all hyper including echani battle stims if you have them). Unpause. Press Force Immunity. If you have Master Flurry along with Master Dueling or Master Two Weaps (if using two handed weapon) as your feat, press that. Along the way, anytime your health goes one thrid down, pause game, go to your supply and use a Life Support pack and continue attack. When Malak flees to replenish himself--->

run toward the closest captured dead Jedi and Force Breach the container so that Malak will have one less fallen Jedi to replenish himself. While he's still far away from an attack, you might as well run to the other fallen Jedi and Breach their container too until Malak is too close for comfort. Once he's within attack range, repeat steps from my previous post until Malak is dead. Make sure you have a lot of stims, Verpine shields & Life support. Equip saber w/Opila & Solari crystals-->

If you have the Star Forge robes, wear them. If you can equip a Constitution package, wear it to boost up your health points. If you still have Brejik's armband & belt, wear them together. As for your gauntlet, depending on your character's needs, if he/she needs strength or dexterity wear it accordingly. As for the headband, wear something that will boost your dexterity to make you quicker in combat mode. No need to wear an immunity against his dark Force as long as you have Force Immunity--->

*NOTE* as a LS Jedi, dont bother Pushing him or Stunning or any "attack" force. Breach his ass to destroy his immunity 1st, then you can go all out if you want. Also, somewhere in the saber battle, I'd suggest hitting Master Valor (if you upgrade those Force powers that high) to increase your odds against Malak doing any critical damage. The suggestions are exclusively for a LS Jedi. I know it's a lot of stuff to do, but there are a few of us who prefer to battle Malak as a LS.

If I remember correctly, you have to step on the corners of the square. Then on the middle one. Something like that.

You have to sort of walk in an "H" pattern on the square puzzle to turn all the squares white and unlock the door. If you aren't already, do this in solo mode so your other party members don't get in the way. Hope that helps..

This is what u do. You have to walk the pattern in the shape of an H. You shouldve picked up a datapad on it from a corpse or something. Check your inventory to see if u have it, u should. So just walk in the shape of an H.

I find that if you can't place mines, hit him with an adhesive grenade, get out hyper alacricity, and kill all the Jedi. Then, if you hate Force powers, get out heavy armour and fight, fight, fight! Stims help in any fight. :)

Get 2 lightsabers with mantle of the force and heart of the gaurdian with the other crystals, 3 mstr power attacks after the centers are destroyed and he is dead

Use energy shield, use 4 other stimulates (you need agility) and the force power KILL. Defeat Malak the first time, then run around killing the Jedi. Then kill Malak. And use Life Support to gain health if your healing sucks.

It's a lot easier if you use a double-bladed saber, Master Speed, and Master Flurry. With a double-saber, both your hands get the benefit of your two best crystals (although I agree the two sabers looks totally badass.) With Master Speed and Master Flurry you hit him 6 times per turn.

the easiest way too kill malak is play the game as the dark side and upgrade yourself to max drain life AKA killing field...i used a double bladed custom lightsaber with a 7-27ish damage and just sucked out all the life of the jedi..but yea...twas easy

Anyone ever tried beating Malak with one saber? It's bloody hard but looks more traditional, I almost died so many times because, like the fool I am, gave myself all wisdom and no strength or constitution. I couldn't hit him and whenever he hit me I'd lose half my health. Awesome fight though!

The problem is that Malak is very resistable against force powers, so in this end find you're indeed better off with a high strength and such, using force powers only to destroy the capsules and to boost your own. In Kotor2 however, the end bosses are much much more vulnerable to force powers which I like; the game is more balanced this way.

With Master Critical, I critted on a 13. I Dual-wielded with master speed. Before Malak went down for the last time, I managed to hit pause to check the combat feedback (before the cutscene). Of 8 attacks, I missed once, hit normally once and the rest of the 6 hits were ALL crits. Malak went down pretty fast.

What shield are you using? Looks like an Echani Dueling Shield. I'd use a Verpine Prototype Shield Generator, instead.
