Yall are trippin on this guy. its a cherokee with the top chopped big deal. u can stick propane tanks in the rear and run it on propane to run vertical angles, spare tire, shovels, cooler, small welder, compressor. Shit whatever. point is xj's are cheap, 4x4, single axle already in the front, usually come 4.0 (bulletproof) and...look at me trying to tell u about jeeps. its nice I like it and i would rather have the 2 door so when u chop the fenders u can chop the rear more towards the front.

I don't understand why so many people thinks this would cost so much money, if you got someone to do it, it probably would but for the most part it's pretty basic... i've been thinking about doing it to my ZJ, all you would need is some 1/8th plate and a rear window... and i've seen it done before where they use the top half of the hatch with the window for the window section... if you could weld it wouldn't cost too much, but would definitely take some time.

@dieselcraz63 Fuel economy hasn't changed a whole bunch... Maybe plus or minus a gallon or two. The ETJ and TB spacer will make your XJ pretty snappy. One problem I have with the kit is I have lead feet now ahahah. Well worth the money and easy to install. Only takes around 30-45 min from start to finish.

Dude that is fkn awesome. I have a grand cherokee lifted and off roaded. This is awesome-er. I wish they would produce this because I would buy one today. BUT you lost a lot of weight in the rear end as far as off roading goes. But wow i love love this. 10 stars.. Just needs a winch and some out back crap on it to make it cooler.

the only thing that keeps me from liking the chopped xj's is how small the "bed" is. if the wheel base was a little longer and the bed were as long as an mj's (basically if it were an mj with rear seats) i think it would be cooler. but to me it kind of reminds me of a mullet --- looks cool..... untill you see it from the back. lol

this was nicely done and i highly recommend an exo cage for strengthening if serious off roader otherwise the unibody can develop many stress points with cracks or weakening. esp a chopped one.
