This video makes me think about how much I miss the atmosphere of airports and airplanes. When I hear those sounds it's like a weird happiness and nostalgic feeling take over me.~
I know... I like all the domes you go through as you listen to those chimes. Makes you feel someting like Buck Rodgers, lol.. and those chimes still existed since the 1980's ha ha. My parents are from there: go there often, but it's funny you mention that. Orly has nothing on Charle de Gaulle. ah ha
The Manchester Station one sounds like an airport chime. The best station announcement chime I've heard in my travels, plus my favorite is the SNCF chime.
I Love the ADP Jingle, it's the one that Charles De Gaulle uses at all their transports and terminals. It's like: dun dnnnnnnnnnn durururururuuuuuuu LOL, love it <3
I was looking for a flight announcement voice to include in a song im recording but i found this, and let me tell you, ThIS IS ONE OF THE WEIRDEST THINGS IV EVER SEEN. People disscussing over terminal bell sounds??
@tanukitejon Why don't we just forget about this, this is going to turn into a childish arguement. All I am going to say is if you don't like it, don't watch it.
(The Paris1:16 one is SPOOKY I agree with peterhicks, drug induced?) You should tape the trumpet sounding one on Southern Rail stations, sounds like off a kids cartoon!
@GCom67 Welcome to newcastle airport. Passengers and members of the general public, are adviced not to leave any baggage unattendended at any time. Please report any unattended baggage to a member of staff. Thank you for your co-operation.
I have been to Charles de gaulle airport and there chime is the coolest chime i've ever heard. It's sounds like ufo sounds. I know it' sound's funny. But the paris airport is cool.
The Japanese Airport tone sounds like the one for Narita Airport Terminal 1. I remember the announcement tone sounding like that, but that was over 20 years ago - don't know if they still use it now.
The tone used at Aena Spanish Airports in Barcelona is also used at Singapore's Changi Airport - T1 & T2.
Actually most countries actually have the same chime. But these sounds are quite soothing actually, no wonder the airport is such a great place to go to.
Actually, the "Paris Metro" chimes are Montreal, Canada's (STM). The UK Railway sounds don't seem to be used anymore for New Street Station in Birmingham. It was recently replaced with something similar to the Gatwick chime.
Shame you don't have the newer Charles De Gaulle chime, the one that sounds like an chorist holding a note. I remember it being in place back in late 2005 and it had partly replaced the old alien one.
Oh man, the CDG 'chime' really cracked me up...for anyone that's been there, it's really representative of the wierdness that is Charles De Gaulle Airport. My mom calls it a 'giant space hamster habitrail'.
Do they not all sound so the same? it's like one person used the same tools to write them all? Are these the current sounds? Did you recorded your self or find them on the web?
Thanks. I am working on a project and this helps...
